Screbrenica Tour - Our day trip to Screbrenica with Almir(war veteran, proud and passionate Bosnian) was very very emotional and unforgettable. Almir’s talked us through what happened at Screbrenica in detail throughout the 2.5 hour journey from Sarajevo to Screbrenica stopping to show us where atrocities took place on route. The exhibition at the Memorial centre Srebrenica Potocari is very interesting, emotional and heartbreaking. The visit to the martyrs cemetery opposite the memorial centre was emotional and heartbreaking.

Essential trip for understanding modern Bosnia - I recommend doing this small group tour if you have the time. It is very important that people understand, and never forget what happened, at Srebenica. Almar is a very informative and passionate guide. It was a confronting and sobering day, and a long trip, but definitely worth it.

Deeply meaningful visit to Srebrenica - Last week I joined a small group tour to Srebrenica through the agency Meet Bosnia. I was picked up at my hotel by the tour guide, Alem [sp?], who after picking up three other guests, set off for the 2.5 hour drive to Srebrenica. Along the way, Alem provided us with background information about the history of the war in Bosnia, so that when we arrived in the area, we were well prepared for what we would see. The bulk of the visit was spent at the memorial site and museum in neighboring Potocari, which was formerly a factory and served as the base for the Dutch U.N. peacekeeping troops in the summer of 1995. At this site, we were given a deeply insightful and informative tour of the museum by Jasmin, who was an eyewitness to and survivor of the events in Srebrenica in July 1995. The museum itself is well structured to unpack the multiple layers of the story: from the experiences of the victims, the way that the events unfolded, and the role of the Dutch troops who were based there. The remainder of the tour included a visit to the cemetery across the road, where most of the 8,000-plus victims are buried, as well as a brief tour of Srebrenica itself, which pretty much resembles a ghost town these days. Our guide Alem did an excellent job on all counts, striking the right balance in guiding us through this difficult history.

Learning about the history of Bosnia - Overall, very organized and punctual. The duration of the visit was adhered to, and at all times, the guide Almir taught us about what happened; the group was small, it was excellent, and honestly very intense, recommended for learning about history and genocide.

Acceptional detail - We had a day booked with a brother called Almir who had personal experience in the genocide. He knew an incredible amount of what happened with extreme detail. He was extremely kind and talkative and even provided us with food. I have personally been to Bosnia before but I believe this trip with Almir is deffo worthwhile as he brings much more detail having lived through the genocide. He took us to srebrenicia and showed us the Key locations and explained to us his personal experience without holding back. Alhamdulillah a nice trip with a nice brother and ان شاء الله everything goes well for him ان شاء الله. السلام عليكم ورحمةالله وبركاته

Highlight of Bosnia: Life Altering Tour - Was honestly the highlight of our trip. We went with Almir, and the stories and the descriptions and depictions he gave us was honestly life altering. I have never experienced anything like this trip and his has opened my eyes up so much, and increased my love so much for the Muslims there. Almir was amazing, I hope to see him again in the future.

Highly recommend - Dear Almir, Thank you so much for taking us to Srebrenica and allowing us to witness a place that carries both immense pain and immense dignity. This was far more than a tour, it was a reminder of the wounds of our ummah, the resilience of the Bosnian people, and the importance of preserving truth and memory for future generations. You honored the martyrs of Srebrenica with sincerity, respect, and honesty. Hearing the stories of the genocide while standing on that blessed soil was deeply emotional and unforgettable. Despite the tragedy, there was also a powerful reminder that the Muslim Ummah remains alive through its patience, sacrifice, and steadfastness. May Allah grant the martyrs of Srebrenica the highest ranks in Jannah and reward those who continue to preserve their memory and tell their story with justice and humanity. Thank you for helping people from around the world understand that Srebrenica must never be forgotten. Bosnia will always hold a special place in our hearts. 🇧🇦

A Heartbreaking but Essential Experience - Dear ALMIR, Thank you🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻for honoring the memory of the victims, for telling this story with honesty and humanity, and for helping people from all over the world never forget the Srebrenica massacre😥😥🇧🇦🇧🇦🇧🇦🇧🇦 Srebrenica is a place of pain, memory, and silence — a tragedy that never disappeared. More than eight thousand Bosnian men and boys were killed there in an act of genocide. I will definitely come back with my family❤️❤️
