We’re embarking on a full-day MTB journey to Europe’s second tallest waterfall, standing at an impressive 98 meters. Our adventure starts with an uphill asphalt bike ride of approximately 10 kilometers. Following that, we hit the gravel road on Cavljak mountain, covering nearly 7 kilometers. Though it’s primarily uphill, there are flat areas and brief downhill stretches. Of course, after such an incline, it’s only natural we enjoy the descent! We get to choose between a gravel road or singletrack according to your preference and riding abilities. Once we navigate the approximately 7-kilometer descent, we’re set to view the Skakavac waterfall from its peak, but another 3 kilometers of riding will provide us with a breathtaking view from the bottom. We’ll have a serene picnic lunch overlooking the waterfall. Post-lunch, we’re up for a 5-kilometer ride, consisting of flat and uphill stretches - our last climb, we promise! We’ll then make our way down a gentle gravel road that transitions into asphalt leading back to the city center. The entire trip spans about 32 kilometers, with a total gain of 1374m in elevation.
