Siege tour with tunnel and bobsled track - Great insight to the history of the city of Sarajevo - Enes was extremely knowledgable and entertaining whilst educating us with the importance of the harrowing events from the 90’s and informing us of the cultural history of Bosnia and Herzegovina. When I return to Sarajevo I will be going on another tour with Dream Balkans, asking for Enes and his tales if possible. Also, a shoutout to Zuzy who was most helpful and smiley! Cheers, Loser

Fantastic day - Brilliant tour. Ibrahim was a fantastic guide, very knowledgeable, had the right balance between recounting the horrors of the war in Bosnia, humour, lightheartedness and being ever such a nice guy! A fantastic day, a must do tour when you visit Sarajevo. Thank you...

Amazing experience - A “must do”! - This was one of the best tours we have done anywhere in the world. Ibrahim our guide was so knowledgeable, not only the history of the Bosnian war, but the whole area. Such a lovely friendly guy. We were in a small group (just 5 of us), which was great and enabled us all to ask questions which Ibrahim was always happy and able to answer. I could not recommend this tour enough. If you want to learn about what really happened during the Bosnian war, take this tour, with this company. I realised I knew very little of the real horror this city went through, only a few decades ago. A shout out to the great team in the office too, who were really friendly and chatty.

Fascinating tour with a great guide - Had a great tour with Enes to the Tunnels, Bobsleigh track and Yellow Fort. He was friendly, funny, knowledgeable and passionate about the topics we discussed. Enes shared some of his own first hand experiences as a child growing up during the siege, which elevated this tour into something really special. Thanks so much Enes! Mina was also great in liaising with us to arrange the tour. If you go in winter I advise going on the morning trip as it is hard to fit everything in before nightfall on the afternoon tour. Highly recommended.

Incredible detail and amazing experience - All I can say is Wow!! This tour was the highlight of my holiday. As I went round Asim, a war veteran, told me his own personal story of how he experienced it. He went into incredible detail and I was honoured hearing his story from the heart. A very humbling experience and I also still got to see some of the beautiful sights of Sarajevo too.

I ended up on a 'solo'... - I ended up on a 'solo' tour as nobody else had booked it at this hour. In past situations, tour companies would cancel or the guide would be less enthusiastic. That was not the case here, Ibrahim was absolutely fantastic and it was one of the best tours I've ever had.

A tour that teaches you things no book can - I’m not a review writer; the only one I’ve written was for my apartment complex when they gave me $500 off for writing one. But my tour with Ibrahim made me immediately know I wanted to leave a review. Ibrahim was informative, which is an understatement. I learned things about Sarajevo that you couldn’t learn by reading any book or website. He’s rightfully proud of Sarajevo’s resolve through the siege, and he shows that through stories of people on the ground and their large and small acts of resistance. You know how you might read a resume but not really KNOW the person who wrote it until you interview them? That’s what this tour felt like - actually meeting the person. I’ve read probably 10 books about the Balkans, Yugoslavia, Bosnia, and Sarajevo, but this tour taught me more than any of them and really made Sarajevo and the siege come to life. No book can take you through Sniper Alley from the ground, pointing up to the sniper positions, and then later show you the view of those same spots from the sniper positions in the mountains. One of the downsides of guided tours is that usually you don’t get time to explore on your own. But at several points, Ibrahim gave time to wander around the sites on my own. This was especially nice when we stopped at the bobsled track on Trebevic. (I just forgot that it would be a lot harder walking back UP the track…) Ibrahim didn’t limit himself to showing or discussing things on the Siege of Sarajevo. We talked about snowfall for the ‘84 Olympics, the Jewish history in the city, Bosnia’s modern political system, and even some Bosnian pronunciation tips. He also talked about his own experience growing up in Sarajevo. Maybe the best way to express how happy I was with this tour: I went to the Siege of Sarajevo museum the night after the tour, and although the museum was extremely well done, it couldn’t compare to the tour, which really made the history come alive. I don’t remember how I picked this specific tour, but I’m very glad I did. To prove that, I’ll add that when I told my mom about it afterwards, she was ready to come to Sarajevo herself despite initially not understanding why I chose to travel here! Changing my mom’s mind is the best review, far better than anything I could write here. I’ve probably written way too much, but I hope that length conveys how much I enjoyed this tour. Ibrahim is proud of Sarajevo and its history, and Sarajevo should be proud to have someone like him showing off the city.

Excellent tour. Excellent guide. Dress warm in winter. - Our tour guide Adnan is a war veteran. His personal insights into the war and the tunnel are invaluable. When it's personal, you get a real sense of the cruelties of this conflict and the perseverance of the Bosnian people. The tunnel tour was very good. There's a video about 20 minutes long with footage of people transporting supplies and weapons through the tunnel. We also visited the bobsleigh track from the 1984 Winter Olympics, and walked along the track. Some beautiful murals painted on the track now. And we visited the Jewish cemetery briefly. Overall, a great tour. If you visit from November through the winter months, bundle up, especially for a morning tour. It was freezing.

Very moving, it's a must-do tour - The Siege tour was absolutely amazing and is a can't-miss tour. The guide was a Bosnian war vet and gave us very personal details about his time during the war.

A must tour when visiting Sarajevo - It was en excellent tour. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this tour and Sarajevo as a city. People in the city have treated me incredibly well. My tour guide was Ibrahim and I was lucky to be the only person in the group! He is local and also his family and I was really happy and lucky to have the tour done by him. I really wanted to thank him for his professionalism, politness, well informed, friendliness, and his love for the city and passion for his work that went above and beyond! I learnt a lot about the situation of the city and country at the time of the war and the history of Yugoslavia and the former yugoslave republics. Also about the people in BiH, the languages, the religions, the food, the winter olympic games. He is also a very good driver and the van was really comfortable! He also was ready to answer all the question, being very precise and accurate in all his answers. I will come back to Sarajevo with my friends sometime in the future. I have travelled all around the world and for me, Ibrahim has been the BEST TOUR GUIDE I have had so far! Thank you very much indeed and I hope to come back for more tours.
