- Our guide Joel was fantastic! He was friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable about the history of Santo Domingo. Would recommend this tour for anyone that wants a local’s perspective of life in the Dominican.

This one-hour boat tour is a great way to see Santo Domingo from a different angle! - Highly recommended! This one-hour boat tour is a great way to see Santo Domingo from a different angle. We first did a walking tour of the Colonial Zone and then then boat tour, which I'd recommend, so you can better appreciate what you see from the water. Mike was an excellent guide with terrific English. The boat is on the smaller side, but we were comfortable enough and sitting at the water level gives a great view. Mike also took plenty of photos and video and sent them to us via WhatsApp, just a couple hours after our tour.

Excellent! Learned a lot about colonial Santo Domingo! - Our family had a great time! Juan was very knowledgeable about the history of Santo Domingo. I learned a lot about early settlers! We had an amazing time on this boat tour! From start to finish, everything was well organized and thoughtfully planned. The crew was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone felt safe and comfortable.
We learned interesting facts about the area. The atmosphere was relaxed but fun,

MUST EXPERIENCE !!! - This tour was honestly one of the best parts of our trip! The boat ride was smooth, relaxing, and the views? Absolutely stunning. We took so many pictures and every angle was postcard-worthy. The guides were super friendly and made the whole experience fun and chill.

Santo Domingo: The Authentic Dominican Neighborhood Tour - I went on the Authentic Dominican Neighborhood Tour in Santo Domingo. We started off with the boat ride and learned a bit of history in the local area. We later visited a beauty salon and drank some tea and took pictures. We visited the ice cream lady and I had sweet potato ice cream for the first time. It was pretty good. We concluded by riding the cable cars and metro train. The highlight of the tour was its people. They were so down to earth. If I have the opportunity to come back to the Dominican Republic I will reach to Urbano Tours to schedule another trip. I really enjoyed the experience.

Spend a nice hour - Served by excellent gentlemen. Spend the hour in a boat. Your beer and different fish and seafood attend to the table.

See the city from another view - While we were on the neighborhood tour with Joel, we asked if we could also have the boat tour. He immediately contacted Juan, and the plans were set in motion. We got to see the city from another view from a fisherman's boat. We even got to witness our fisherman assisting another boat who was stuck on the river. It demonstrated the camaraderie and kindness of the Dominican people. Lastly, we stumbled upon some kids flying kites, having wholesome fun and got to interact with them. It was all so genuine to top of our last minute but oh so timely experience.

Different, different and fun - We chose this tour to offer something different and the team of Juan and Mike made our experience something very different and fun. It is a different view to Santo Domingo that is worth realizing.
It was a tour we chose the same day and Juan immediately contacted to give us the details. Upon arrival, Juan gave us the directions and introduced us to Mike and the boatman.
During the tour Mike gave us information and pointed out the important attractions, we felt safe and well accompanied.
At the end of the tour, we had difficulty getting a return transport however, Juan helped us get to our next destination.
Highly recommended the tour!

No option for solo travelers :/ - I was looking forward to this experience but wasn’t able to select “1 adult.” When I called the help line, I was told this setting was intentional. They require a minimum of 2 people. No access for solo travelers which is very disappointing.
