• The 3 Eyes National Park - This cavern features a large freshwater lake that split thousands of years ago due to a natural phenomenon, creating four beautiful and distinctive interconnected caves.
• Columbus Lighthouse (Faro A Colon) - The Columbus Lighthouse is a museum and memorial monument that houses the symbolic remains of the explorer Christopher Columbus. It was inaugurated in 1992 to mark the 500th anniversary of Columbus’s first voyage to America. The structure is cross-shaped, measuring approximately 800 meters in length and 36.5 meters in height.
• Catedral primada de Americas - The Cathedral of Santo Domingo, in the Dominican Republic, better known as the First Cathedral of America, is the main Christian monument in the capital. Not only is it a building with over 500 years of history, but it is also a key place to understand Dominican and American culture in general.
• Zona Colonial - This area of Santo Domingo features colonial buildings and streets with old cobblestones that are highly attractive to tourists. Notable sites include the Alcázar de Colón (which belonged to Diego Colón, son of Christopher Columbus), the Museum of the Royal Houses, the First Cathedral of America, and the Ozama Fortress. As a result, there are both national hotels (such as the Hotel Conde de Peñalba) and international ones (like the Sofitel Nicolás de Ovando in the house of Nicolás de Ovando). Most hotels are located on El Conde Street and Las Damas Street.

On December 8, 1990, it was declared a World Heritage Site by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) under the name “Colonial City of Santo Domingo,” covering an area of 93 hectares. Today, it is one of the most important tourist destinations in Santo Domingo and one of the most visited by both national and international tourists in the Dominican Republic.
