The history of DR told through its cultures & people - This is one of the best tours I've ever been on in my life! I wanted a tour that would teach me the history of the country through its people. This exceeded my expectations in every way. Apart from the main tour guides, the tour included additional experts for each culture, some of whom were descendants, local snacks, fruits, and lunch at a local restaurant. I felt like I was in a time machine, starting with the indigenous people(Taino), then the enslaved(Afro), then the Spanish(mostly architecture), and how that mix gave birth to the melting pot that is the DR today. I would highly recommend this tour if you're looking for something beyond just looking at nice buildings (which they also had at the end). This tour was well-structured but flexible, and my guides were so passionate about the topic that it made it even more enjoyable for me. Thank you both! You are appreciated!

You won't be disappointed! - This is the best way to visit the caves at El Pomier. This was such an adventure. Scrambling through the caves system seeing 2000yr old art. Highly informative and a great way to spend a good portion of the day. A must for all you 'Indiana Jones' lovers. Learn about the slave trade at the sugar cane plant and the final resting place of Christopher Columbus.
