Magical town tour, guide shares lots of history - You get a private tour with Alex, your guide. He shares the history of 3 magical towns. Alex is a history buff and has A LOT to share. You can tell he likes his job and even goes into character as he relates a story. We enjoy learning Mexico's history so we liked his stories. It's OK to tell him you need a break to explore on your own. THINGS TO KNOW: It's an ALL day tour and there's traffic coming back so you get back to Qro. at 730ish, not 5pm. The 1st town Amealco is 8,500 above sea level so it gets cold. Towns are 45 min to 1 hr apart. The last town Bernal is the gem of the three, but we had less time there because there were many trivia-filled stops in the prior towns. Like all tours of this kind, the guides take you to their preferred restaurants, we enjoyed the restaurant in Amealco. The last town Bernal is your 2nd stop for food. I recommend that you research town food options before this tour and explore on your own. We found a great bakery there too called Abril. Overall a good history-filled tour.

Perfect trip for people who like history - This tour of three Pueblo Magicos - Amealco, Tequisquiapan, and Penal - was fantastic. My guide, Alejandro, was punctual and knowledgeable. The drive between locations was comfortable, taking about 45 minutes to an hour each. Alejandro shared the history of the Aqueduct of Querétaro before we left the city and provided insightful walking tours at each stop. Alejandro is a wonderful historian, and this tour is perfect for those interested in both the sights and the history.

Amazing day visiting pueblos mágicos - Really fantastic day with Alejandro! All 3 pueblos mágicos were great, and Alejandro had so much cool information to share about architecture and linguistics. He even happily took us to Starbucks after picking us up.

Unique private tour in magic towns near Querétaro - This was an amazing experience; it definitely exceeded our expectations. Alejandro is very knowledgeable and kind. In addition, he is fluent in both English and Spanish. During this private tour, Alejandro took us to special places in each one of the magic towns that we visited, while providing thorough information on culture, history and nature. We highly recommend this tour with Alejandro.

Three Pueblos, One Guide, and a Whole Lot of Heart: A Day in Querétaro with Alejandro - If you’re the kind of traveler who wants your tour guide to simply point out landmarks, crack a few jokes, and get you back to your hotel by sunset, this one might not be for you. But if you’re after the kind of day where history breathes, stories matter, and every village square feels like it has a soul — then buckle up. Alejandro isn’t just a tour guide. He’s part historian, part philosopher, part cultural diplomat — and somehow, still the guy you want to share a beer with at the end of the day. Fully bilingual in English and Spanish, he picked us up from our hotel in Querétaro City in a clean, comfortable car, and what followed was less of a tour and more of a journey. First up: Amealco. A town that feels older than memory, where Otomí culture threads its way through the daily rhythm. Alejandro pulled the veil back on layers most tourists miss — from the politics of handcraft preservation to the quiet dignity of a doll-making tradition that speaks volumes without saying a word. Then Tequisquiapan — pastel-colored bliss and colonial charm with wine and cheese on the side. It’s easy to be seduced by the Instagrammable streets, but Alejandro made sure we didn’t just see the surface. He told the stories behind the stones, and why they still matter. And then there’s Bernal. The monolith looms, of course, but it’s not just a rock — not when Alejandro’s telling you the tales of pre-Columbian cosmology, Spanish conquest, and what it means to live in the shadow of something ancient. By the time we left, Peña de Bernal wasn’t just a mountain. It was a myth, a memory, a mirror. Throughout the day, Alejandro fielded every question we threw his way — about indigenous languages, colonial trauma, tacos vs. quesadillas — and answered them with patience, nuance, and the kind of depth that only comes from someone who’s lived the questions himself. There’s no script here. No cheesy jokes. Just one man, three pueblos, and a rich, complicated, beautiful country laid bare in the best possible way. Highly recommended? Yeah. But more than that — necessary.

Best Tour - This was the best tour when you come to Queretaro. It was well worth every penny. Alejandro is the best and very animated in his history telling and plans the day out to the T. He has alot of connections in every town you visit which adds alot of extras to the tour. Indeed three magical cute towns each full of character.

Fantastic! - Alex "the crazy" was the best tour guide we have had. The 3 locations were all very interesting, but Alex's extensive knowledge of history and several other disciplines, combined with a great sense of humor, made it a great day.

Loved it!!! - We loved this tour. Alex was a great guide and provided a great overview of the three magic towns, each with its own unique charm and history. Bernal was our favorite! Next time we travel to Queretero, we plan to stay in Bernal rather than the historic center. Well worth the visit to all three magic towns. We highly recommend this tour.

I made the reservation and paid in advance and they never went for us yet I wait for my refund - I made my reservation and payment days in advance for September 27 because I was accompanied by an elderly person the day before I was sent digital tickets that never opened. They sent us to another app that never answered Customer Service. On the day of the tour we were waiting and we were never picked up at the hotel. Lost day with a senior citizen. I have sent the Customer Service the request for refund of the Service payment and I still do not receive any response. Very disappointing situation
