Great experience - Aphrodite was amazing and explained the history of the city well. She fit right into our family and was willing to make some modifications due to allergies. Would definitely recommend it!

Interesting and Innovative! - This was much better than a regular food tour. We got to enjoy some great dishes at sit down restaurants. I was really impressed by the variety of cuisines we got to try. It was really cool how the guide was able to connect the stories of the people who live in the LA area to the food. Surprisingly innovative way to approach a food tour. Highly recommended!

Great Eats and Awesome Sights! - This food tour was such a blast! We hit some famous spots like the pier and Third Street Promenade, and the best part was getting to ride the carousel and walk along the beach. Our guide was really knowledgeable and told us a lot about the neighborhood and it's history. The food was amazing and surpisingly varied. The standouts were these juicy Chinese soup dumplings and a beautiful and delicious Ethiopian stew sampler plate with flatbread. Everything was packed with flavor. The sushi was fresh and delicious, and the ice cream at the end was the perfect sweet treat. It was a fun, laid-back way to explore Santa Monica and try some seriously tasty bites! This was great. I highly recommend it :)

Fun and unexpected! - This was a great tour. The food was great and really unexpected. I was mostly expecting tacos but we got to try some delicious things I've never heard of before. My favorite was the Chinese soup dumplings. I've never had Ethiopian food, so it was awesome to try a bunch of different colorful stews and salads on one plate. The ice cream was some of the best I've ever had! It was a really pleasant surprise how good it was. We got to explore the neighborhood and visit the beach and the pier. Anyone who wanted to could ride on the carousel. I had a great time and felt like a kid again lol. Christina was super knowledgeable about the food and the history of the neighborhood. I really loved learning about the restaurants as well. Great tour!

DO NOT Recommend - I want my money back. I do food tours when I travel for work and this was the worst experience. I am extremely disappointed, definitely not worth $140. We got lost a lot. She didn’t know where any locations were. She said this was her first one in this area. What I don’t understand is why you couldn’t have prepared ahead of time? I cannot believe I spent $140 on this and I am so glad that my coworkers that I tried to get to come with me could not change their flights. I changed my flight just so I could go. Also, this was supposed to be something fun, I did not want to spend my fun time talking about crime in the area as relates to her other job. Now every time I book through this site, I will question whether it’s worth it to book and whether to risk bringing others with me. When we were at the lobster place, she went on to tell me how she doesn’t eat lobster because it’s horrible how they’re kept alive on display and how they’re cooked. That was not what I wanted to hear while I was eating it. There were many other examples like that throughout the tour.
