Amazing Day! - Fantastic day! Arrived to a friendly guide named Alejandro. He was so informative and fun. He explained how the beans looked from berry to beans with baskets of each. We tasted them and learned so much. Then we put on some hats, ponchos and baskets for our trip into the hills to pick berries. After picking, we learned how to remove the outer shell and how to dry them. In addition, we planted a few beans. Following a fabulous lunch family style, everyone enjoyed a coffee tasting and fruit and caramel candy. After an explanation of different ways to process, ferment, and grind beans we were exposed to styles of brewing techniques and tastings. Great day with friendly guides, assistants and the owner. Take this tour, you won’t regret it. It does involve some uphill and uneven hiking. Not suitable for unsteady or easily tiring older adults.

Highly Recommended! - This is my second trip to Medellin and this is probably my favorite tour I’ve ever taken here. The property is beautiful and the guides knowledgeable and friendly. Lunch was great and the coffee tasting was amazing. Makes me want to branch out and try more small batch coffees rather than always stick to my mass produced everyday coffee. Makes you appreciate the differences in the coffees you drink. Wear shoes you don’t mind getting muddy. I didn’t find the bugs too bad at all, but I would suggest you follow the directions on their site and wear long pants and sleeves, and bring bug spray. They had some but it’s helpful to have your own. I highly recommend this tour!

Fantastic experience - Fantastic tour, great drivers and fantastic coffee “journey”. Highly recommend! Our whole family went and while there is some hiking to get to the coffee plants, it was well worth it.

Coffee tour with friends - I visited with three of my friends. The setting was beautiful, the staff were very friendly, and the coffee was great. It was a very interesting and memorable way to spend the day learning about coffee. I thought the lunch was outstanding - it was served family style. One of the highlights of our trip to Medellin

Phenomenal tour! - This tour was one of the best tours I've done, it was incredible. Everyone at the finca was so kind, and I learned so much about the process of coffee cultivation. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visit the area/Medellín. The farm animals were also such a sweet bonus, Paca is such a good dog!

Fantastic experience for coffee drinkers and non-coffee drinkers alike! - This Bean to Cup Experience was a definite highlight of our group's trip. Our host, Julie was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging. The tour felt very complete and well paced as we got to experience and participate in seeing the coffee go “from bean to cup." Their space is beautiful, as we got to enjoy time both learning about their history, and interacting with the animals that they have on the farm (their dogs are extremely cute). At the end of the tour, it was fun to participate in a coffee tasting, where we were able to try 4-5 different samples from their farm. They were delicious, and we even bought beans to bring home. The traditional Colombian lunch that the tour provided was everything that we could have asked for. Lastly, this is a fun experience to do with other travelling groups as well.

A personalized heaven for coffee lovers - This experience was everything a coffee lover could ask for! Julie and the Casa Grande team lead us through a rich and detailed account of coffee’s place in Colombia both historically and ecologically. Being able to pick coffee right from the plant while overlooking the endless green jungle was a memory I will cherish for the rest of my life! I learned so much about the immense amount of labour that goes into coffee production, and this experienced opened my eyes to new ways I can love coffee. The provided home cooked meal in the historic Hacienda felt like I was welcomed as a guest of the family, and of course the provided coffee was nothing short of delicious.

Amazing coffee tour experience - even for someone who doesn’t drink coffee! - What an amazing experience! I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this tour and I’m not even a coffee enthusiast. The hacienda is a beautiful 18th century house with a large serene property. We were greeted by Julie, our tour guide, who was so knowledgeable and kind. There are also a number of loose happy dogs on the property but they were very polite and honestly lovely. I learned so much about the coffee plant, the harvesting process, and about how much labor goes into a cup of coffee! After walking around the property, we had some time to chill on the hacienda balcony porch and I just loved how peaceful it was. I never felt rushed and took my time enjoying the tour. We had a traditional family-style lunch and it was one of the top meals I has during this trip - amazing! The tour finishes with a coffee tasting where we learn how flavours are added to coffee. They provided 5 espresso cups of coffee and I was so satisfied by the end of the tour. I ended up buying coffee beans and coffee tea. Without a doubt, I would recommend this tour to everyone I know.
