Highlights
  • Santa Cruz de Tenerife - The Tenerife Auditorium, designed by the architect Santiago Calatrava, is a building with a strong sculptural impact. Located in an unparalleled landscape setting, it offers the visitor the opportunity to enjoy a great work of architecture together with others of nature, such as the sea and the mountain range that forms the old Anaga massif. The Parroquia Matriz de Nuestra Señora de La Concepción is the main Catholic temple in the city, built on the first hermitage founded by the conquerors in Santa Cruz. Its tower was built in 1786 and is one of the most recognizable symbols of the old chicharrero town. The Santa Cruz Palmetum is a unique project in the world, which has transformed a garbage dump into a space for leisure and botanical culture. In its gardens grows the best collection of palm trees in Europe, and one of the best in the world. Inaugurated in 1996, the International Center for Fairs and Congresses is located in the capital of the Island - San Cristobal de La Laguna - A UNESCO World Heritage City San Cristóbal de La Laguna was the first city in Canaria to be declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Its colonial architecture, the linear layout of its streets, and a large pedestrian shopping area give a distinctive mark to this old university city. Enjoying its historic streets is an unforgettable experience. The main advantage of the historic center of La Laguna is that its rich heritage is concentrated in a very small space, due to the city’s own history and evolution. - La Orotava - La Orotava is one of the most beautiful towns on the island. Located in the middle of the valley of the same name, it stands out for its perfectly preserved buildings, which has led the city center to be declared a Historic-Artistic Site. You can breathe in its streets that stately air that has never left it since the conquest of the Island. - Puerto de la Cruz - Although it is the smallest municipality in Tenerife, Puerto de la Cruz has attractions such as its protected historic center or a wide sea front, perfect for long walks. It occupies the coast of the Valle de La Orotava in an impressive landscape dominated by the 3,718-meter-high Mount Teide on its horizon. Its pleasant climate made it the first tourist center in the Canary Islands. It has temperatures that range between 22 ºC and 15 ºC that allow you to enjoy the sea, the outdoors and tranquility throughout the year. - Icod de los Vinos - The Drago Milenario is the figure that identifies Icod de Los Vinos. It is a must, but no less than a tour of the cobbled streets and small squares and fountains in the heart of the municipality. - Garachico - Garachico is today one of the most important historic centers in the Canary Islands. The rich historical-artistic heritage inherited from the past and the special care that has been taken in its conservation, earned it the award, in 1980, of the Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts. Respect for this legacy has made it possible for Garachico to present itself to us today as a valuable example of art in the Canary Islands, particularly urban planning and the traditional architecture of the Archipelago. For this reason, the urban fabric of the municipal capital was declared by the Canary Government, in February 1994, an Asset of Cultural Interest with the category of Historic Complex. - Los Gigantes - Los Gigantes, one of the most spectacular landscapes in the municipality of Santiago del Teide and Tenerife. It is part of the Teno Rural Park and reaches 600 meters in height from the sea at some points, in an almost straight drop that makes you dizzy. - Candelaria - Located in the southeast of Tenerife, a special air is breathed in Candelaria. In its solemn basilica, surrounded by imposing Guanche statues, it houses the image of the Virgen de la Candelaria, patron saint of the Canary Islands.

Excellent tour. - Excellent trip out with Belen. She showed us towns and villages in the North of Tenerife. At the start of the trip, she consulted with us to confirm what we wanted to get from the excursion. Belen is a mine of information and is passionate about sharing it. Thank you.

An island tour which delivered more than we expected and showed us quieter and unspoilt parts of Tenerife . - At time of booking we were able to upgrade to an 8hr tour and this proved to be a great choice as we were never rushed and able to see more of the things we were interested in. Belen met us on time and discussed what we would like to see on our day and explained her choices to us. We then proceeded to have a really interactive day, mixing the busy viewpoints of Mount Teide with local towns and villages which we would never have found, even if we had hired our own car. We had a leisurely cafe lunch and chatted all things Canarian and why the north is the heart of the island. Belen was an excellent driver, navigating some seriously twisty minor roads and by the end of the day we felt that we had seen the real Tenerife. Overall, we would totally recommend either the 6 or 8 hour trip to get a sense of both the natural beauty and unspoilt nature of Tenerife.

Best time and value for a private tour - We booked a private tour with Gloma. We had a wonderful time. We stopped at the most amazing viewpoints and had enough free time at each stop. We saw so much of the island and had lunch at an authentic Guachinche. Their private tours cost almost the same price as shared tours from other companies. That’s a bargain! For the best time and value, I would definitely recommend booking with them.

Magnificent experience - We have been lucky enough to enjoy two private excursions with this company on the island of Tenerife and it has been an unforgettable and wonderful experience. To highlight the professionalism and speed in solving any problem on the part of the GLOMA Travel management and a quality-price ratio in my opinion that is unmatched. And above all, the excursions themselves that greatly improved our expectations thanks to the great work of the guide who accompanied us both days, Diego, a great expert on the history, culture, gastronomy and traditions of Tenerife. It was like having a friend who showed us his land, I can only recommend them and thank him for his good work with us during these days.

Great time in Tenerife! - Diego was the best! He took the time out to ask us what our interests were in learning about Tenerife and meticulously laid out his tour plan for us. He provided insightful information about the origins of the island and the people who live there. Diego showed us black sand beaches, banana farms, local town squares historical landmarks and so much more. For lunch we visited a local establishment in North Tenerife that had the best pork, chicken croquettes and house made wine. The service was great and welcoming. It was the best meal of our trip. Our tour was a great experience due to Diego’s passion and genuine nature. Do yourself a favor and tour with Diego and Gloma Travel when in Tenerife. You will not be disappointed.

10/10 Private, Personalized and Unparalleled Experience - We took some time putting this review together because we had so many photos to go through to find the best ones to showcase our experience. Diego is the best tour guide I’ve ever had and I travel a lot. He shaped an itinerary just for us. He’s attentive, knowledgeable, and an amazing guide. He responded to our interests and knew when to stop for breaks. We ate local food and stopped by hidden gems. He knows all the great picture spots and shared perfect insights into the island. I strongly recommend you checking out their website and booking with them. You won’t regret it!

All About Tenerife History - Diego was our wonderful and very knowledgeable guide for our a la carte tour of historic places in the north part of Tenerife. This was our third tour with Gloma Travel during our week in Puerto de La Cruz and we highly recommend this company if you want to see and learn about the real Tenerife and its history.
