Additional Information

Our journey begins at the awe-inspiring temple of Demeter, followed by a visit to the archaeological museum. We then proceed to Damalas, a charming village nestled in the heart of the Tragea valley, where we will be treated to a show at the sole remaining traditional pottery workshop and the rejuvenated olive press. Our next destination is Chalki, where you will soak in the beauty of its quaint lanes. Then we travel to the oldest Byzantine church of Panagia Drossiani.

We next move to the most renowned village of Naxos - Apiranthos, also known as the “marble village”. From here we drive towards the Northern part of Naxos island, stopping at Apollonas village, a quaint Cycladic village perfect for a swim or leisurely time at the sea-side cafes.

On our return journey, we pause at the imposing Kouros statue before heading back to Chora along the North-Northwest coastline of the island, taking in the views of Agia tower and Northern Cyclades islands.

Incredible. So glad we chose this tour - Recommended by Zoe at our hotel, Alkyoni Beach Hotel - this was such a great day Picked up just a short walk from the hotel, Alex our guide and William, our driver, gave us a truely memorable time. So much to see, the trip was so well planned Never rushed. Time to see the main sights and fantastic scenery while we were moving Special mention of our driver. Some of the mountain roads are exciting’ to say the least! Never a worry…. Alex also had knowledge way beyond the normal tour guide A real memory

A great introduction to the culture (ancient and modern) of Naxos island. - A great introduction to the culture (ancient and modern) of Naxos island. A full day that was carefully curated and enthusiastically explained by the guide Dimitris. Visits to a temple, a citron distillery for tasting and a demonstration of throwing pots. The driver was excellent and given the winding roads very safe.

A Nice Advice To Visit & Hear about that Marvelous Place on Earth - In case you prefer to be taken, not risk on the north roads (of one direction) & visit attractions that you would might not be able to know as being first time on the island, hear the stories by locals in three languages (English, Greek, Italian), then I suppose the Guides of the Bus Tour are our people. Nice Job done!

A visit that is not worth it - Not much to see, apart from the price for the quality of the tour, the only positive thing, the driver drove very carefully

DISAPPOINTING - Tour lists and illustrates picture of the Temple of Demeter BUT unfortunatelty we were not taken to this site, when I questioned the tour guide Thomas I was advised that I was mistaken and that I must have been looking at an old itinerary. When I showed him the itinerary and picture as advertised on tripadvisor when I booked the tour, he was indifferent and advised that we would NOT be going to this site. Very disappointing as the only reason we went on this tour was to visit the Temple Of Demeter, false advertising by Tripadvisor or BAD service by the tour operators in Naxos. Also, the tour guide was below average and relied on the bus driver Vasili for information regarding the neighbouring islands and sites on the island. A VERY disappointing tour and a waste of a day.
