Very good, very interesting, and long day! - Boarded in Nuevo Vallarta departing on time then picked up more people in Puerto Vallarta before heading to San Sebastián. Our tour guide Tavo was excellent. Charming, very well informed , with impeccable English. He had a passion for what he was doing and shared it well. First stop at bakery was nice. And a necessity for some food prior to next stop at tequila place. The stop at tequila facility was certainly one of highlights. Presentation was most informative for those of us who hadn’t studied tequila. Very professionally done by the brother/owners. Sampling was good although taste testing tequila at 10:30AM may be a bit early for most, but given the logistics of trip it had to fit in then. Blue agave fields past tequila factory were interesting. Rest of trip up to San Sebastián scenic, and stop at coffee place interesting but not exciting. Lunch provided in San Sebastián was excellent, and our tour guide Tavo and drive Santiago were quite involved in serving of lunch. Church San Sebastián quite remarkable and a highlight of tour. Some nice vendor markets for the shoppers, and a very interesting side tour to silver factory to talk and deal with the father/ daughter artisans. Town square quite nice but somewhat disappointing as there were very few locals as they were probably working or at school. Busy weekend would be much nicer I’m sure . Departed San Sebastián at 2:40 for home. Trip home included stop at tequila factory on way down to use facilities. Tavo was very aware of the demographic of his “familia” so constantly pointed out the location of washrooms, much to the amusement of our group😀 Arrived back at Puerto Vallarta marina about 4:30, just in time for rush hour traffic Mexico style, for our trip back to Nuevo where we started. Arrived back at Vallarta adventures site at 5 pm. It makes for a rather long day, 9 hours in total of which at least 4 are in the van.. It was a very nice trip and well worth it but it does get long. A word of caution to anyone with mobility issues , it will be a challenge once you get to San Sebastián. The well advertised cobble stone streets are quite rough and there is a quite a bit of elevation change so go in up or down a lot if you choose to tour. Another issue may be the van itself , Volkswagen Crafter. It is easy enough to enter and exit for those of us who are able bodied but could be challenge for some. Seating is reasonable but will be a bit cramped for anyone a bit wider, or taller as I am. Choose your spot well. Our driver Santiago was a great driver , always leaving us feeling safe and never unnecessarily in a hurry, very good . He and Tavo contributed greatly to a very nice day. I can certainly recommend this day trip, just note the cautions.

Day trip to San Sebastián - Excellent tour. Our guide , Franco and bus driver Arturo were friendly and helpful throughout. Franco, was very knowledgeable about the area we drove through on the bus ride and the history. We stopped along the way at agave fields where he talked about growing and harvesting the agave. We learned about the making of Tequila and how the agave is prepared for a variety of tequilas at the Tequila factory. ……. Very interesting….. included a tasting of different tequilas. Great lunch along the way…… three courses…. Very good food. San Sebastián was a delightful little town in the hills of the mountains. We enjoyed this day very much.

San Sebastian Oeste - Franco, the tour guide was exceptionally knowledgeable about the history of Mexico the history of Jalisco tequila. He communicated incredibly well it was an amazing trip. I really enjoyed the tequila vineyard the coffee farm Hacienda eating at the Hacienda Hacienda museum, and the time to walk around town, I would highly recommend this tour Largely apart because of Francisco and all that he explained to us and educated us about.

Interesting historical perspective - No pick up from hotel and van is too crowded and uncomfortable for the journey to San Sebastián .. Apart from that our guide and driver Ramon were great

San Sebastian tour - The guide was great. The only con was I didn’t expect so much shopping, the coffee, silver and textile demonstrations were all geared to you buying something.

Pleasant Day - We had an excellent tour guide who was very informative. She pointed out many interesting sights along the way. It was a longer ride than we expected (2 hours), but we did stop after an hour for bathroom break and delicious tequila tasting. We then went on to San Sebastian. We had a delicious Mexican lunch of quesidillos, refried beans and rice, fajitas, and chicken mole. We left quite full! The cobblestone streets in San Sebastian made for very difficult walking. Fortunately, we had on good shoes, which I definitely recommend as a must! We would have liked to walk around a little more to see all the little shops but couldn't bear too much more of the cobblestone. It was interesting and unique to see once. The best part of the whole trip was the tequila we were able to buy at the rest stop to take home!
