Beautiful drive up to the... - Beautiful drive up to the mountains to a historical little village. Delicious traditional lunch with plenty of food. Our guide, Jorge, was exceptional, very friendly and knowledgeable, enthusiastic and passionate about his work. Cultural, historical and natural experiences, what more could you ask for?

Fun and interesting day - We really enjoyed this tour. San Sebastian was great, like stepping into the past. Beautiful and rustic. Our guide Jorge was terrific. Originally from a mountain town nearby and very knowledgeable. Many interesting stories and very educational. The side stops were all good. The van was comfortable and well-driven. A day well spent!

Great Team, good organization, no for people looking for excitement. - First the glows: great driver, good bus, on time, A+ organization, delicious food in the town (I wish I could eat there every day and, the best, the guide, speaks English very clear, know everything about history, environment and culture, he could be a college professor. Grows: the town is clear and quiet, super quiet, but there’s not too much to see or do, therefore the activity is more like a shopping trip to a different stores. All and all good, and I found the price fair, but if you are looking for things to do that are more than just eating and shopping, get a different tour, maybe you are lucky and get the same tea.

A Must Do - George was a very informative guide for us. The sights and lunch were amazing! The only part we did not like was the ride. The van was too small. We were cramped and my wife and I weren't able to sit with each other.

Average at best - We were actually disappointed in this trip. This is the first time ever that a TripAdvisor excursion disappointed us. It was billed at 15 to 20 people. They were 35. The guy really had no idea how to handle this group which she said several times. Rather than saying, we have 20 minutes or I’ll meet you at 2 o’clock. People wandered off and people had to wait for others. We went to a church kind of wandered through ourselves and then she talked a little bit about it afterwards to whoever happened to be there. We went to a chocolate shop walked in, and you could buy chocolate or not. There was no greeting no showing you how the chocolate ran no samples it was going into any store anywhere. There was a delicious Mexican lunch. Again for people didn’t leave when everyone else did so again we waited for them to catch up because nothing had been said beforehand being in the Sierra Madre mountains was very nice. The scenery was nice. The trip overall was very average and a disappointment. We already have a trip in Portugal and a trip in Spain booked with TripAdvisor and I am certainly hoping this is a one off and not a pattern

A disappointing experience - The trip itself was quite interesting. However there were a few issues. First was it was supposed to be 15 people in a van and instead 28 in a large bus. Our tour guide -Emma- was quite mediocre. Her English at times was hard to understand and she did not have good command of the group. She never said we will be here for xxx minutes and you need to be back at the bus. Either such a large group there were those who were late. In town, her explanations were minimal. The chic stop could be eliminated- no explanation about choc making, the amt of cocoa used, no engagement by staff- poor. Tequila experience quite interesting and well done. We have taken many such tours and this was among the poorest. Find some new guides!

Would Not Recommend - Unfortunately this was not a great experience. The pickup was a bit of a mess, and from there the experience was largely a disappointment. The day felt a little disorganized as we were told an order of activities, and then that order changed because we would stop at places and they were full. The coffee tasting was a huge miss- we were only given a tiny shot of watery coffee. We also stopped at a jewelry store which was just one huge sales pitch and we stayed much longer than I would've liked. The small village of San Sebastian was not very interesting either. I do want to give credit to our tour guide who was nice and shares interesting facts. Additionally the lunch was tasty and the tequila stop was a positive. We ended the day in lot of traffic and got back later than we were supposed to.

Disappointing experience to San Sebastian - The only reason I booked this particular trip to San Sebastián was that it was advertised as being capped at 15 people for an intimate experience, from the trip adviser website description. What we got was 29 people and a bus that had no seatbelts, AC was broken, along with several of the seats and the windows hadn’t been washed in some time. Due to the large group, everything took twice as long, waiting for everyone to have a restroom break, waiting for everyone to finish shopping, waiting for everyone to walk to the restaurant, you can see where I’m going with this. The only saving grace was the guide was very knowledgeable and interesting. The bus driver was skilled and it was neither of their faults the group size was pretty much double as advertised. The tequila tour at San Sebastian Tequila was great, except all I could see during the owner’s explanation was the back of someone’s head. (Too many people). Next stop San Sebastián which was a quaint little town, very clean and the lunch served family style in the restaurant was very good food and enjoyable. I doubt I will ever book another tour through trip advisor. I am shocked they had no regard for our personal safety and they lied in their advertising.
