Highlight of our time in La Fortuna - We enjoyed a night tour as a family of 4 with two children, and another family, Jose was excellent from start to finish and you can see how passionate he is about his work, this was a highlight of our trip so far, we saw Jesus Christ lizard, ringed kingfisher, caiman with babies, sloths, spiders, lots of frogs including poison dart and red eye tree frog highlight of our trip and really engaging for the children. We had a downpour of rain but that did not stop us seeing plenty!

Greta visit! Would recommend. - We (a family of 6, with four adult children and our parents) booked the night walk the day before, and it was so easy to set up. Jose was a great guide, and we saw Elmer the male sloth as well as another female sloth, a couple of poison dart frogs, the red eyed tree frog, and so much more. It started pouring rain about half way through, but Jose still found us lots to see and we still really enjoyed it despite the downpour. Jose is so passionate, and we loved supporting a local family effort (and it’s easy to do so because the offerings are great!). The tea and empanadas were very tasty afterwards. Thanks for a great evening!

An amazing interactive experience! - We visited costa rica during the offseason. We were the only people to show up for this night tour and our tour guide Jose made the best of it. He was super informative and made it an enjoyable experience. We were able to see a variety of birds, butterflies, frogs, lizards, caiman crocodiles and even sloths! We were fortunate enough to see 3 adult sloths and a baby. Finally the tour concluded with a delicious empanada and a ginger drink. I highly recommend this tour!

Great customer service! - We did not actually get to take the tour since it was raining heavily during the time, and I assumed that I had lost my $120 (for two people). But they responded and credited me with a full refund. I loved that attention to customer service - could have just ignored me - and so I was moved to make this information public here. Good people, that want to do the right thing.

IT WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! - Tour guide No Way Jose went above and beyond to accommodate a lovely family and myself. He even managed to find several sloths 🦥 which were two toe and three toe sloths! It was truly an amazing experience. I certainly recommend Ecogarden Arenal Night Walk and PLEASE don’t forget to tip your guide, they work extra hard to make our experience that much more memorable, so a little appreciation doesn’t hurt.

Highpoint of our trip - This night tour was one of the highlights on our trip to La Fortuna. Our guide was so helpful & patient answering questions. With his help we were able to see many amazing creatures.

So cool! - This was such a cool experience! Jose was so knowledgeable about the animals & plants and his passion for the project really shone through. We saw so many unique frogs and even some sloths! It was a great way to get to know the ecosystem and spend some time with nature.

Exiting night tour - I had the vip experience. I was the only one that had booked that day. So a bit creepy only me and the guide in the dark forrest, but after finding the first frog, it gets cool and exiting. We found several different frogs, caimans and caiman babies, birds asleep in the trees and a lot of other stuff. The guide was really kind and new a lot about the nature and was very passionate about his place. Really enjoyed the trip.

Amazing Night Hike - We went on a night hike at EcoGarden Arenal based on a local friend’s suggestion. We did not choose wrong! We saw several different animals while on our walk and the trails are well marked. There are even different areas named after animals where you might see a particular species (to make finding them a bit easier while still in their natural surroundings). We saw a fee-de-lance (with the utmost care), a baby caiman, a sloth, red-eyes tree frog, glass frog and many, many more animals! Our guide, Carlos, from Red Lava Tours was amazing! He is incredibly knowledgeable on both Flora and Fauna and made sure we saw what we had hoped for! 100% recommend!

Ecogarden Experience - The tropical rainforest ecogarden really brought the unique flora and fauna of Costa Rica to life. Up close and personal we saw sloths, butterflies, toads, frogs, leaf-cutting ants, caimans, lizards, spiders all under a dense canopy of foliage. Great experience, interesting and educational.
