Make your own chocolates and coffee from scratch! - We enjoyed this tour very much. We had one-on-one attention and learned a lot about chocolate and coffee. We even got to make hot cocoa and chocolate candy and coffee from scratch! Very attentive and nice guides.

Second time back! - Second time on the Don Jorge tour! This time we brought our 3 older teenage sons with us and they truly enjoyed it! We had Fabrizio as our guide and I was truly impressed with how knowledgeable he was! Would do it a third time!!!

With heart, knowledge and taste – A special experience around coffee, cocoa and sugar cane - This tour was just very special. From the very first moment we were warmly welcomed and guided through the world of coffee, cocoa and sugar cane with a lot of passion and expertise. It was fascinating to see how lovingly and authentically hot chocolate, coffee, chocolate and fresh sugarcane juice were prepared right in front of our eyes. You can feel how much passion there is in it – not only in the products, but also in the way everything is explained and shown. A real recommendation for anyone who wants to experience the country, its people and its treasures with all their senses

Authentic, family run tour not to be missed! - We would defintely recommend this tour - very laid back and lovely people. Our guide, Gabrielle, was great. It felt much less commercial than many tours on offer. We were able to see lots of plants on the farm including spices, cacao, arabica coffee plants, vanilla and pineapples. We enjoyed fresh coffee from the farm, tried cacao tea, made some chocolates using traditional processes and had the best hot chocolate! To top off the trip there is a small trail through the forest to visit a waterfall after your tour if you wish - it was beautiful!

An absolute must-do experience! - Don Jorge’s Chocolate and Coffee Farm was a truly magical experience, with something for everyone! From the information and hands-on activities to the sugar cane/coffee/tea/wine/chocolate sampling and waterfall swim, my entire family had a blast while learning all about authentic local chocolate- and coffee-making practices. Our guide Gabriel was extremely outgoing and went out of his way to make every family feel welcome. You really don’t want to miss out on this unique adventure!

Great for families! - In spite of the pouring rain, our private, family visit was perfect. We had a lovely and informative walk through the gardens, pressed and tasted sugar cane; tasted coffee beans, made chocolate and hot chocolate, too. Really a nice to see and understand the process. We also stopped at the waterfall on our way out.

Wonderful Coffee and Chocolate Tour - We loved that this was a small, family run tour. I have to say, the communication for our reservation wasn’t great BUT we arrived at the posted time and were welcomed! The property is beautiful and we learned a LOT about growing and processing coffee and chocolate. We also saw many beautiful birds as well as walked to the waterfall. Repairs were being made on the trail, post rains so we weren’t able to hike all the way down and swim, but the hike was beautiful! We have already recommended this tour to friends!

Great choice! - Farm is about 15 minutes from town on a beautiful hillside. Family owned and they truly made the experience lovely. Not a typical commercialized tour but an experience led by passion and the guide/staff were genuinely kind and thoughtful. Very knowledgeable about the plants, wildlife and the lifecycle of making coffee, chocolate and sugarcane. Definitely worth it!
