High, Fast and Fun - Was very surprised when my (usually conservative) kids (14,8) expressed an interest in ziplining and signed up for this tour as it would allow us to also see the La Fortuna waterfall. We had an absolutely fantastic time - and I'm still kinda shocked we did it. This was our first time ziplining and I guess I should have paid more attention to the "extreme" in the title. This is not leisurely at all - it is high and fast. BUT, with that said, it was absolutely awesome and we had the best time. We went on June 18 at 2pm and I don't remember the guides names but they were so great. Calm and assuring, they clipped you in and sent you on your way, leaving no room to start getting cold feet. We all felt safe and secure. I brought my phone in a lanyard waterproof pouch and one of the guides went with me on the long run over the waterfalls so I could record it while we went and volunteered to take photos of us on the hilltop. It was a little fussy to carry my phone this way and I was super paranoid about my phone somehow dropping into the gorge (and frankly it nearly did - if you do this, make sure your lanyard is super sturdy. Mine had the ability to clip off and on from the lanyard and in trying to get the shot of the falls it did snap apart in my hands! Boy did I grip that case for the rest of that run!) but I'm really thankful to have the photos and videos. The tour ends with a walk through of an indigenous craft display and I felt awkward as we weren't carrying our wallets so couldn't purchase anything even if we wanted to. This part felt a little perfunctory and I would have appreciated a little more context and even a reminder about this visit so that we might have brought money with us.
