Great experience - Alvaro was an attentive and super knowledgeable guide. We felt we made a great choice going with him instead of a large group. He was very generous in the mezcal tasting! We purchased several bottles of mezcal because they were excellent and we gained an appreciation for the process. We are vegetarians and were able to enjoy a nice lunch as well.

Stay away from the pointy agave and drink the Mezca with the scorpion in itl!! - It was a great experience getting to know the world of Mezcal and our guide, whose family has been working the land and producing Mezcal for generations!

Just wow! - If you have any second thought or hesitations, just don't. This is the only tour you need to book to know everything and beyond about mezcal. Alvaro was professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and accommodating. No usual tourist traps. Straight and authentic experience. Highly recommended! Thank you, Alvaro for hosting us.

Amazing tour!! - This tour was better than we ever could have expected! Alvaro was so informative and nice! We got to see his family agave farm where he showed us all the different agave plants and told us how it’s grown and harvested. We got to taste a ton of different mezcals and then ended the tour with a great lunch. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone and I would definitely take it again with Alvaro!

Perfect tour - Fantastic educational tour! Alvaro was our guide and he was able to answer all our questions. Loved it. The mezcals we tried at the end we're delicious and covered a wide range of agaves. Bottles prices were great. We started at the agave fields, learned a bit, made our way to the distillery, learned some more and tried different mezcals. Then we made our way to a restaurant to end the day. Perfect.

Take the tour! - We had such a great time getting the tour with Alvaro. Not only was he extremely knowledgeable on the process of making mezcal, explaining it, and mezcal itself, but he was also such a joy to hang out with him. Our group was filled with great people who enjoyed mezcal and Oaxacan food. Highly recommend this tour!

The perfect mezcal behind-the-scenes tour! - What a fantastic experience, and Alvaro was a wonderful host and person! Being able to see the rows of agave and different types was breathtaking (and great for pictures). But trying out the machete and drinking mezcal from one of the spears!? A unique and unforgettable experience for sure. And then after learning and seeing the process from agave to mezcal, we had the mezcal tastings - so many! Even as someone who doesn't love mezcal, I appreciated trying them and even liked a few. Somehow, the one with the scorpion in the bottle tasted good!? We were a small group (5 of us) and Alvaro answered all our questions, took pictures, and was such a kind and gracious host. Note this wasn't a "get drunk" tour, this was a "appreciate how this complex liquor is created, meet the people and process behind the scenes, and find a mezcal (or two or five) you enjoy sipping." The perfect tour!

Both educational and fun - Fantastic experience from the very beginning. Not only was the entire tour informational, but it gave me a true respect for the art of mezcal making. Alvaro was perfect, very friendly, sharing many details about creating mezcal. Then putting it all together in the tasting when we got back to the main spot where we tried quite a few different mezcals. He answered all of our questions. Afterward, we went to a nearby spot for some food, which was also excellent. Normally I would not go back to a tour after I've done it before, but with Alvaro, I 100% would want to come back with friends for this experience.

Good experience BAD Food, so go eaten or take something - Very good experience to know first hand everything that involves the cultivation and/or harvesting of different types of agaves, as well as the distillation process, the only VERY bad thing is the food they offer, of very poor quality
