Tour with Omar - We really enjoyed this tour, Omar is a teacher, very knowledgeable and clearly loves Mexican history! We had delicious fish tacos, tostados, mole and street tacos - all wonderful! We drank agave beer, had a unique experience at a local bar tasted Mezcal, then enjoyed a mezcal margarita w our tostada and finally tequila w our mole. If you are a food and history buff, this tour is for you ! The tequila was more mescal focused so keep that in mind. Omar was outstanding!

Diverse sampler of places! - We took our tour with Sam on the first day we arrive in San Miguel - it was the perfect orientation to the city. He shared history of the places, food and drinks we experienced - and it was a really neat range of stops. It included the oldest cantina in town with their own mezcal, which we would have never stumbled into on our own. It was a great mix of authentic, older gems and trendy, foodie forward places. Highly recommend!

A must do Food tour in SMA! Ask for Omar! - Omar was an amazing tour guide. You can tell his love and passion for the history of the city and of Latin American history run deep. He went above and beyond to accommodate each and every one of us. He was kind, enthusiastic, passionate and so patient in answering all our questions. He is not only a historian but also a food anthropologist/gastronomic expert/teacher in explaining the history of the unique and quintessential Mexican food origin and evolution! Thanks Omar! You awoke and inspired all of us! I can’t wait to dive deeper into my own culture and explore more of SMA and Mexico! Viva Mexico!

Great little tour! We had... - Great little tour! We had another lovely group join us who where super sweet and funny. All the restaurants we visited where new to us and we had not tried them yet which was great. The Jicama taco changed our lives! haha. Loved! that our tour guide had a lot of knowledge on each place and was friends with the locals giving us the opportunity to try new things as the POX drink we tried and little hidden gems we would have not found on our own. It was a lot of walking but all restaurants where a 5 minute walk or less from each other so it was nice to walk around after each tasting. Definitely recommend! and we had to stop by for one more Jicama taco before leaving. Thank you Sam!

Great food tour in San Miguel de Allende - We had an amazing tour with Sam. He had great information into the history of San Miguel and relevant insights for the foods and drinks. It was a well planned out and thoughtful tour. We visited 5 places and each of them had different with tacos and drinks. Our family had a great time and we thought it was well worth the price.
