Highlights
  • San Martin de los Andes - Head north on National Route 40, and after passing through the Rio Negro town of Dina Huapi, cross the bridge over the Limay River. This marks the beginning of your journey through the northern part of Nahuel Huapi National Park, skirting the shores of the lake that shares its name, the largest in the region. You’ll arrive at Villa La Angostura, a charming small city with a picturesque shopping center and a variety of restaurants. Continuing on Route 40, you’ll encounter a fork: to the west (left), National Route 231 leads to the Cardenal Samoré Pass and into Chile; to the north (staying on the original route), Route 40 becomes known as the Seven Lakes Trail. This trail runs along the edges of Lakes Espejo, Correntoso, Villarino, and Falkner, eventually reaching the Vullignanco waterfall viewpoint.

Additional Information

What makes this excursion different from the rest is the personalized attention in our mini van with a national park guide providing all the appropriate information about the path of seven lakes, Villa la Angostura and San Martin de los Andes.
In Villa La Angostura we will be enjoying the shopping center with time to have a coffee and in San Martin there will be time to have lunch and tour its attractive city, with its very peculiar wooden architecture. This was all about... - This was all about driving, beautiful scenery. Wish we could have more time at the lakes to enjoy. Great guide, caring and knowledgeable

Not recommended - I think this tour is only suitable for pensioners. Who really wants to sit on a minibus for 8 hours with stops to take photos of some of the least impressive lakes in Bariloche because they’re all in one road. This tour was boring, expensive and one of my worst days out ever. The main reason is that the advert doesn’t make clear this is a day out on a minibus with 7 photo stops.
