Perfect Walking Tour of San Jose - Amaral was an incredible tour guide. Extremely knowledgeable about his city’s history, a mastery of English, great sense of humor, and a gifted story-teller. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with him and would highly recommend a tour with him as your guide!

Loved It! - I originally booked the "San Jose City & Central Market with Local Food" tour expecting to join a group, but it turned into a private tour with just me and the guide, Pablo. Pablo was incredibly patient, kind, and knowledgeable, making the experience both enjoyable and informative.
Walking through downtown San Jose with Pablo felt like exploring the city with a friend who shared meaningful insights about its history, culture, cuisine, and the pride of Costa Rica's people.
I highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in exploring the city on foot, taking in the sights, sampling delicious local food, and gaining a deeper understanding of San Jose’s rich history.

Everything you need in one tour! - I was in San José with a large group of 22 and we wanted to see the highlights of the city. This tour was excellent and let us see everything. We even stopped to get fresh fruit along the way. The tour guide was great at telling a story for everything and our group was interested the whole time. Definitely recommend this if you are just getting to San Jose and want to see the whole city. The central market is especially amazing!!

Pablo is the man! - Pablo was exceptional! His knowledge base and easy going attitude made all the difference. He took his time showing us around and never once did we feel rushed. He even offered recommendations for night time activity for my wife and I to celebrate my birthday.

Awesome city tour with an outstanding guide! - Our city walking tour was excellent. Our guide, Pablo, was very knowledgeable about the history and sights of the city. His English was excellent and he was very passionate about his job. We ended up in the city market which was very interesting. We have done walking tours in many different cities and this was one of the best. Highly recommended.

Excellent service - Excellent attention by Guide Esteban and support during the tour... 😊
They took us to the theater, the museum, we walked through the streets of downtown and craft market. We tasted local fruit and ended up eating some delicious empanadas

Fantastic San Jose Walking Tour - Communication with Steve Tours was fantastic! They texted the night before to answer any questions that we had and when I mentioned where we would be driving from, they adjusted the start time of the tour knowing that traffic would be very busy early in the morning. We met Steve at the Plaza de la Cultura to begin our San Jose walking tour. He was immediately friendly and explained what we would be doing. Steve was very knowledgeable about Costa Rica and all of the places we visited. When it began raining hard, he found us a place to get umbrellas and we spent extra time visiting the Nacional De Costa Rica until the rain stopped. We learned so much about Costa Rica and we also loved walking through the butterfly garden. Once the rain stopped, we made our way to a fruit stand where we were able to sample some local fruit! We then made our way to the Central Market. Steve shared some history with us and even showed us the best place to purchase souvenirs and the best coffee!!! I would highly recommend Steve Tours! We felt so fortunate to have Steve as our guide! Thank you Steve Tours! Pura Vida!!! 🇨🇷❤️🇨🇷 We look forward to next time!

Morning walking tour!! - Steve was very knowledgeable about the city, he was told us about the history of the city and Costa Rica as a country, we taste dragon fruit and drink some coconut water that was very refreshing. I bought all of my souvenir from the local market (save lots of money compared with airport or hotel stores). The tour itself only 2 and half hours but he packed it with history, sightseeing as well as fruit and coffee tasting! I recommended this to all of my friends

Very bad experience with Steve tours Costa Rica - I arrived at meeting point before scheduled time 14:53 ( arriving so quickly from the airport) I waited till 15:07 when I texted the agent who should provide the walking tour ( called Steve tours in San Jose Costa Rica)). He apologized for not being on time and he will send the guide in 40 minutes!!!
I returned 15:40 no one was there
I texted him again, he apologized again and said he will send the guide very quickly
I run like that until 6 pm
I went away
The guide started to text me to meet again. I decided to meet him at 6:15 PM.
He started the tour with me at that time alone
Everything was dark and couldn’t see everything. The markets were closed.
The guide was good and polite, but the tour he made to me was different from the one which I paid and the services that I should have had
The agent kept texting me to give me a free tour somewhere else but when I said ok he never replied to me again
I had a very bad experience
