Great Art tour with Christopher - We loved our walking art tour with Christopher. He was so friendly and engaging, and customized what we wanted to see. He shared lots of information about architecture and took us to historic houses and galleries we would not have found on our own. Also, before this tour, we had not really seen any artisanal goods (more standard souvenir stuff like Tshirts) and he took us to 2 shops connected to galleries and museums with lovely handmade local goods. We highly recommend Barrio Bird and Christopher!

Fascinating and fun! - This was an awesome tour! We got lucky that the others in the group didn’t show up - so it was just our friendly and fun guide Christopher showing my wife and I around the city. He taught and showed us so much about the history, politics, culture, and architecture of San Jose, and even gave us some customized tips of what to do/where to go after we went our separate ways. I appreciated that the tour was more of a conversation than simply a lecture of generic facts. Absolutely cannot recommend enough!

A Creative Look at The City - We thoroughly enjoyed our experience with Angie who took us through the creative, fun and arsy side of some of the streets of San Jose. She was very knowledgable and informative, and gave us invaluable insights into the history, culture and artistic side of San Jose. Much of the street art and graffiti have underlying socio-political meanings, and Angie was able to explain and help us understand the context behind the art. As we walked through neighbourhoods, we learnt about how these neighbourhoods were developed and why they were important to the culture and development of San Jose. We also had the opportunity to see different types of architectural influences ranging from Moorish to Victorian. Unfortunately because we visited during the holiday period, many of the galleries were closed, but Angie did a great job of explaining what type of Art each one showcased and encouraging us to visit them later on during our stay when they were open again. This felt like a relaxing stroll through a creatively decorated neighbourhood with friends. Two hours well spent. If you like street art and hearing the stories behind the art and the artists, all infused with an insight into s bit of the culture and history of the city and the country - this is the tour for you!

Gem of a tour - I would never had known gems such as these buildings existed in the hustle and bustle of San José if I had not done this great tour

Murals and history of San Jose - We had a spare morning in San Jose, so decided to do this to fill in time. So pleased we did it. The guide was friendly, informative and went at a gentle pace to suit our needs. Saw bits of San Jose we would never have seen and learned lots about the city. The murals were impressive, too. Definitely recommend this.

Beautiful cultural experience! - Great cultural experience in San Jose! I booked this excursion two days in advance and received great communication. I ended up being the only participant for the day which allowed my tour guide, Christopher (I think that was his name) to be a little more flexible. I learned there's a lot of European influence in the architecture throughout the city. I really enjoyed myself! I really enjoyed Ñ and ended up purchasing a few souvenir items from there.

Great Walking Tour - It was interesting to see the interesting variety of architecture in the neighbourhoods we walked Our guide was excellent unfortunately I can’t remember his name. He was very knowledgeable about the buildings. He did not rush us and was happy to answer any questions we had even if they were not related to the tour. The tour was a very good way to see some of Sa Jose and well worth the cost. I would strongly recommend it as a way of exploring the city

Great art tour! - Our tour guide didn’t show up at the scheduled time and meeting place; and we were early. I messaged the guide through the Viator app but didn’t get a response. It took us some research to get in touch with the company but when we did, they offered us the same tour the next day. The next day, the guide was early and we had no problem finding her at the meeting location. We had a WONDERFUL time and the guide was fantastic! We went to art galleries, saw street art and learned about the local architecture. Despite the no-show guide on the first day, I would still recommend this tour!
