Roger was a great tour guide! - Roger was our tour guide for two people. We did the La Paz Waterfall Gardens and tacked on the Hacienda Alsacia Starbucks Coffee Farm before we hit La Paz. The Starbucks farm was a lot smaller than expected, but I appreciated the fact that operations weren’t overly commercialized. We stopped by Fresas del Volcan, which is a little store that had different kinds of strawberry products, including wine and crème liqueur. The La Paz Waterfall Gardens were a blast. We got to see different animals and several waterfalls! Roger was great at educating us about the animals and plants of the region. It’s as if he worked there! Roger always checked to make sure we were okay and comfortable on the ride.

Incredible Tours - My family toured with this company on multiple occasions and they did an incredible job by any metric. They were informative about all the things we saw and places we went. It is obvious that they take pride in their job. We also used them for airport transportation and they were very punctual. I really couldn’t recommend them enough. Roger gave the tours and was incredible!

10/10 Worth It - Ricardo did a wonderful job with this tour. We added the option for Hacienda Alsacia coffee tour. The stops along the way were great. Places as a tourist I probably wouldn’t have known existed. La Paz far exceeded my expectations however it is a lot harder than I thought it was going to be. But I did it as a pretty inactive, overweight person and Richard was very patient. Loved this day so much ☺️

Interesting but it rained while I was there. - Bring light weight rain gear in a small backpack. Being high on a mountain, the weather is different from down below in San Jose. Get a map. Very interesting.

Sky Solutions - Roger - The waterfall gardens and animal sanctuary were outstanding and gorgeous, lunch on site was fantastic and authentic but what made the day the highlight of our vacation was Roger our tour guide, he was so knowledgeable and took such pride in sharing his beautiful country and culture with us. He was prompt, courteous, shared points of interest along the ride and all throughout the day. He’s an example of the best that Costa Rica has to offer and in no way solicited for this review which is why I’m inclined to share. Pura Vida

Highly recommend!! - My mom and I took a full-day tour today with Roger and it was amazing!! He is super knowledgeable and interesting to chat with, we both learned so much about Costa Rica throughout the day and that really enriched our experience of the waterfall and the park, and even the drive there! The van was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Highly recommend any tour with Roger!! Thank you for a wonderful experience :)

Excellent Overall Service. - Excellent Overall Service. Roger, our driver was amazing, used him and his services for airport transfers, as well as a tour of La Paz Waterfall Gardens Nature Park. Roger shared important details and information about Costa Rica, and the places we visited, as well as suggestions of places to visit. Further, he made our vacation in Costa Rica unforgettable.

It was okay: mixed experience - The day tour of La Paz was a mixed bag for me: the experience of the waterfall gardens & refugee wildlife itself was good, but the organization & service of the (advertised) full day trip was unsatisfactory.
First of all, the itinerary said that we would start at 9 am, visit a coffee plantation, then La Paz. What actually happened: I was picked up at my hotel at 11:10, the driver didn't speak at all until we made a 30 minute stop at a store (way too long to use the restroom & for souvenirs). Without asking, he would not have told us that we would meet the actual group and tour guide here. This happened and finally after noon my "full day tour" really started. I noticed that the other people in the bus had already done the coffee plantation stop, so I realized, this stop will not happen for me. We went straight to La Paz - that's what I call false advertising.
La Paz itself, the waterfall gardens & the refugee animal "zoo" were quite nice - I liked the variety of animals, but didn't expect to see them caged up like in a zoo. And what wasn't ideal: the group was too big and spread out to get much information from the guide (unless you stayed close to him).
So: definitely overpriced and not the best company to book this experience. But yes, visit La Paz (on your own or with another company).
