Chocolate-making in Costa Rica 🇨🇷 - An AMAZING experience you can't get anywhere else! The chocolatier reintroduced everyone to chocolate through history, then topped it all off with a tactile lesson in chocolate-making. From prepping chocolate bars, customizing with desired pices and fruit, to even designing the packaging for our home-made chocolate bars! Thank you Mauricio for the best day in Costa Rica ❤️

Fun afternoon in San Jose - This was a great way to spend an afternoon in San Jose! Mauricio -- our chocolatier and guide -- taught us the history and story of chocolate and cacao farming in Costa Rica. We tried the cacao at different stages of production and then had the opportunity to make our own chocolate bars. He was fun and informative. I'd definitely recommend if you're looking for something fun in San Jose!
It is a bit difficult to find. It's just a few doors down on the same side of the street as the bar.

Scam - The owner canceled at the very last minute sending out an email 2 hours before the scheduled time. That’s an inconvenience when travel time for me was over that. The initial reason provided on the phone was “they didn’t have enough supplies to host anymore people.” When I advised I booked through viator, the reasoning changed to “the business like others in the neighborhood didn’t have water supply so they couldn’t host the class.” When asked, no other business on the street or across the street had a similar experience. So it seemed like a lie. They also have yet to process a refund despite cancelling the class. So this seems like a scam. Save your money and go somewhere else
