Excellent time from start... - Excellent time from start to finish! Booking and pickup were seamless and easy. Pickup was on time and ready to go. Our guides Nadir and Geovanni were super friendly and had tons of information to share about a variety of topics. In addition to the pontoon tour, we also saw many animals and birds, as well as learning about some of the local plants and history. Some sections of the waterfall climb looked a bit daunting but the team made it really quite easy. There was always someone there with a helping hand if needed. Delicious lunch provided on board, and stunning views throughout really made this a top notch day.

A truly unique tour filled with exploration, discovery and fun! - We did the “pontoon in the river and Horseback riding into the jungle” combo. It was an adventure packed day with incredible views. We saw lots of rare birds, swam in the waterfalls and rode horses into the jungle and up hill tops. It was my first time on a horse and I had absolutely no issues, Robert was very helpful and explained everything from the get go. In fact, all of the guides on this tour were brilliant. Funny, relaxed, adventurous and knowledgeable. They created a wonderful atmosphere of exploration and discovery, whereby we felt we’d made new friends by the end of the day. They even bbqed delicious food for us on the pontoon!
I can’t recommend jungle splash eco tours
enough! Thank you Robert & team! Until next time 🤞🏼

Great trip for the old and young. - We saw three beautiful waterfalls. Two of them could be challenging for seniors!! Carlos and Nadir made sure I got to the first waterfall safely. Literally, Nadir held my hand the whole way. And it was worth the climb. I can’t say enough about how the crew went out of their way to make sure everyone had a good time. Jeovany led us (we had our own car) down a tricky road… Robert turned our car around so we could leave. Jeovany prepared delicious grilled chicken and sausage. A large tasty meal. The children on the boat had a ball!! If only I were younger! Scrambling up the rocks is made for the young and agile. BYOB. It was a great day for a beer.

Unique Jungle Adventure - This was a unique experience. Moderate difficulty but very fun. The guides were great. You should know, though, that you are going into a remote jungle location. We got picked up from our hotel in San Ignacio by Nadir who stayed with us the whole time. He and the other two guides were lots of fun. The van ride there was over an hour and parts of it were on an extremely rutted road. Lots of bouncing around. Then we got on their two-story pontoon boat with wood plank flooring and plenty of seating. It’s on a reservoir lake of a hydroelectric dam.
The first waterfall is reached by hiking in and crossing a river. The trail is steep and a bit tricky. Not too hard if you’re used to hiking in steep areas. The walk is worth it to see the falls and swim in the clear, cool water.
They showed us the top of the dam, then we stopped to eat lunch. They were smoking some meats onboard - it’s a big boat. The sausage and chicken and potatoes were very tasty. The next two waterfalls were easier to see, but still involved walking in and getting wet.
It was a great day, very memorable and lots of stories to tell. The guides made it lots of fun. If you are adventurous I recommend it.

Must do this tour! - Absolutely incredible tour. The guides were great, and despite some elements of hiking to/on the waterfall being challenging for some in our group, they made it easy and safe. Robert even volunteered to carry my SIL's baby across the river (which he did with comical ease). In addition to the cruise, waterfalls, and hike being amazing - they gave us easy transportation to/from our accomodations, and fed us what was arguably the best meal of our trip.

Gorgeous, special place with fun guides! Great for teens and mixed aged families to enjoy together. - We had a magical adventure on the jungle pontoon tour! The reservoir is very isolated and peaceful--only a handful of boats on the whole dammed section of river. And no other development. We saw lots of birds and a few crocs.
The handmade boat was awesome-- really large and spacious. It moves slowly and quietly, so you can easily walk around or climb up to the top.
The staff are terrific! Giovanni, Nadir, and Selvin took good care of us, fed us well, and made the trip really fun.
There is a scramble trail back to the first waterfall, which is tall and splashes into a pool where you can swim. The second is a series of limestone falls that adventurous members of the group can climb up with the guides. The boat goes right up to the last twin falls.
You can jump off the boat or off a rope swing. And BBQ lunch was amazing!!
This is a special tour away from crowds, down rugged roads.
Our teens loved this day! If you have older adults or young children, you may need to gauge how much adventure you can handle (safely) and stay on the boat if it feels like too much.

Great day - We did this tour with a large family group. All of the boys in our group (age 10 - 17) agreed this was the best day of our trip. Our guides were patient, kind, and knowledgable. The made sure everybody had a great time. They cooked lunch on the boat and it was delicious. I highly recommend this tour.

Awesome time with must see views - Giovanni was a very fun and well-informed guide. The waterfalls were breathtaking, especially sandpaper waterfall. The boat was comfortable, and the food was amazing. Lots of fun to be had, and a must if you are in the area. However, it was not a "private" trip as advertised as there was another group with us. This ended up being a plus as they were very pleasant people, but it should be noted when booking.
