Wonderful experience, a great way to explore this region of Belize! - My guide Ed and driver Mr. Bol were great! I did the Caracol tour and thoroughly enjoyed it. I learned a lot about Mayan culture and the history of Belize. It was a scorching hot day so it was a bit rough climbing the temples in 100 F heat so bring plenty of water and electrolytes to stay hydrated. It’s also a good idea to have a good breakfast as you’ll need the energy. Lunch prepared by Mr. Bol was satisfying. We ended the day at the Pools on Rio. The water was so refreshing and the best way to cool off after an active day in the sun. Thank you for a great day!

Belize History and Fun - This was such a great experience. Learning the history and culture of the Mayans was topped off perfectly with a trip to the Rio Frio Cave and Pools. Jason was our guide and helped answer all of our questions along the way.

What a day! - The Caracaol ruins were so impressive and fun! You were able to climb to the tops (not an easy climb, and more difficult coming down for someone with fear of heights...haha). Our guide, Jason, was extremely informative, patient and helpful too. He never rushed us and allowed us to go at our own pace to take in everything at the site. The Rio Frio cave was huge, more like a vaulted cathedral. And then to top it off we escaped the heat by going swimming in the river. We would thoroughly recommend this tour. We can only describe it with superlatives.

Perfect blend - Wow what an amazing cave at Rio Frio with a great guide, Eddy, giving us the history along with the massive Caracol Mayan Ruins. We had a great lunch including conversations with our driver who was Mayan-decent. Finished off with a refreshing swim at the beautiful Rio on pools. Perfect activity balance for a full day tour.

Fun and informative day - My local hotel was not able to run a trip for me, as I am a solo traveller, but Mayawalk was happy to include me in one of their groups and I had a fantastic day! Jason, our guide, was very knowledgeable and friendly, happy to answer any questions, and made me feel very safe and comfortable as we made the long (sometimes rough!) drive to and from the site. Mayawalk makes sure they leave early, so you get there before most of the crowds or the heat has kicked in.

Incredible sights and memorable experience! - Amazing trip through the mountains and jungles to Caracol. No one else had booked this day, so we really appreciate MayaWalk Tours still conducting our trip. We (3 of us) rode in his SUV to Caracol. We stopped for breakfast burritos on the way and were fortunate enough to see toucans across the street while we waited for them to be made. Tour guide was excellent and provided so much information in regards to the Mayan's and the various animals and vegetation. We did get to see some howler monkeys at Caracol too! From there we decided to skip the cave and spend more time at the Rio On Pools. Very refreshing! Try to make your way over to the upper waterfall to put your head under it!. Note: Wife and daughter tried to use the bathrooms at the Pools and decided to hold it until we got back (Very disgusting) - not the fault of MayaTours! Just an observation for future travelers. Great trip that we would recommend to anyone visiting the area!

Caracol tour - Purdy was a great tour guide. He was knowledgeable and made the trip fun. He took time to explain so much of the Mayan history and was patient when we asked questions. We would definitely recommend doing this tour. Ask for Purdy. He will do a great job for you.

Worth it. Had a wonderful time. - Caracol is just stunning. For a time, our group had the whole place to ourselves. Our guide Ed was kind, informative and entertaining. The cave was beautiful. The road to the cave was closed so we walked about 30 min each way to get there- but I don’t mind. Bring lots of water. The guide ran out of his water supply probably due to the extra unforeseen hiking. The food was simple but good. The pools were refreshing. I would highly recommend this tour.
