Don’t be intimidated ! Go for it, you won’t regret it! - Greg was an outstanding tour guide! I’m so happy we took this tour of hidden stairways. The steps are views are just gorgeous and Greg pauses at the perfect spots to get a sight of the views and catch your breath if steps are a bit off a challenge. They were not for us, but I was upon the first incline and we had no idea we had walked up it because he’s full of information and good tips about the city, you don’t even realize you’re hiking up an incline. What a wonderful tour guide, and we absolutely loved his stories and what we saw. Thanks again Greg! We appreciate the experience so much! Book the tour, you be happy you did!!

Great experience. Highly recommended for locals. - It was great tour and Greg was great both as tour guide and storyteller. I have lived in the bay area for over 40 years but never knew about those stairways let alone history of surrounding area, Sunset District. It was great learning experience. There were many people visiting those stairways and those people were listening in. I would highly recommend this tour, not only for those people visiting San Francisco but for locals as well.

My new favorite thing to recommend to friends visiting SF. - Greg is awesome. A longtime local who's incredibly knowledgeable, as well as very kind and funny. The story of the hidden stairwys is amazing, and they are an inspiring and beautiful neighborhood achievement. I know San Francisco fairly well, but this was new territory for me, and well worth the time. I don't think there are better views of the city. Greg makes the tour great.

Greg is a very seasoned, personable, and engaging guide who is clearly passionate about sharing his love for SF with everyone he meets. Would absolutely recommend to anyone visiting! This tour is spectacular on a clear day, late Aug / early Sep was a great time to go but certainly not the only time.

The "Stairways to Heaven" in San Francisco - The meeting point of St. Anne's Catholic Church was easy to find. We felt comfortable waiting there except for the fact that there were no public bathroom facilities nearby. Our tour guide arrived in a timely manner. He made sure everyone had arrived, checked in, and understood the parameters of the tour. The tour group was small, consisting of couples, individuals, and a family with a school-age child. We had an opportunity to introduce ourselves as the tour guide had. It was a typical San Francisco weather day. Fortunately, we had prepared by making sure we had water, snacks, and jackets. Comfortable walking shoes are essential! Our guide was personable, knowledgeable, interesting, kind, patient, and had a great sense of humor. He took group and individual photos as he offered or was requested. He shared samples of edible plants along the way. He also offered a plant to take home at the end of the tour to add to a garden. The tour was at a good pace. It was not too fast or too slow. It was a lot of walking and climbing as expected, but doable even for older people in the group who have good mobility. After the tour, the guide sent copies of the photos he took to all participants. It was great to receive them, and I have enjoyed sharing them with family and friends. I would highly recommend this tour to others!
