This tour is much more... - This tour is much more than just experiencing the food in Little Italy. We learned about the history of the area, the important people of the town, as well as the journey of different Italian foods. Adriana has a wealth of knowledge and her story-telling keeps you on the edge of your seat. In addition, she encouraged the group to get to know each other during the meal times which let us experience the Italian family style of eating. Highly recommend this tour -- and not just for tourists, great for locals too!

Love Great Food and History? Then You’ll Love this Tour! - My friend and I met in San Diego for a girls trip and we decided to go on this tour. Both of us travel a lot with our families, and both of us take tours wherever we go. For each of us, this tour ranked amongst the best. My friend said that to our host as we were leaving, and I say it now in this review. What did we like? Our guide Anthony was definitely a star in the community. Everyone seemed to know him and would say hi as we walked from place to place. It created a touching impression of a strong and engaged community, reinforcing our belief that Little Italian was worth touring even while it is being (over) developed (sacrificing the old homes to high rises). His stories were personal and interesting and it felt we were made part of something special. In all honesty, it was so engaging that I didn’t notice the high rises. In addition, the food! It was divine!! And I adore Italian food, having grown up eating it and serving it in high-end, authentic Italian restaurants as I put myself through school. There were a couple dishes where I would have licked the plate could I have gotten away with it. Each restaurant we visited served tasty dishes we don’t see every time we go to an Italian restaurant. With each dish, all very generously portioned, Anthony shared the origin history of the dishes and of the restaurants serving them. At least one I’d never heard of is predominately served only in one location in Italy and has been since roughly 1000AD. By the end of the tour, I was so stuffed with amazing food that I couldn’t even eat breakfast the next morning! Haha. And the extremely full belly was worth every bite. Another aspect that I really liked was that, at each place, we each had the ability to order (and independently pay for) whatever we wanted to drink with our food. I really appreciated that because I could choose a cocktail or a lovely glass of wine as I wanted. I’ll add that Anthony said he could accommodate food allergies and restricted diets. No one on our tour had any, so I can’t say what the substitutes would be, but that such restrictions could be accommodated is worth mentioning. If you decide to attend the tour, have fun and buon appetito!

Little Italy Tour...fun date night - My wife and I decided to take this tour because we were struggling to find good places to eat. We were pleasantly surprised that this tour was not only focused around (little Italys) food, which was amazing, but also its history within the San Diego bay area. Our tour guide really was amazing and shared his love for the area as well as the history of the food and where it originated from. I fully recommend this tour

Good tour - Took a 3 hour tour of food in Little Italy. It ended up lasting 4 hours. The food at each restaurant was good. Drinks were not included. Tour was a little pricey for what we got.
