The Mambo Combo is a must. - Fantastic. Exciting. Great guides. Fun for all kids and teens as well as adults. you will get soaked. There are four rappels along with the canyoneering through the stream., pools and waterfalls. Guides were great and knowledgeable. Rafting was great as well Multiple class 3 rapids along with some class 2. Highlight of the 11 day trip for most of the kids and adults alike. Unforgettable experience. Plus the snack on the river and lunch after to top it off. Must do in the Arenal / La Fortuna area.

Rafting Holiday with Captain Alonso S. - On December 31st we celebrated the whole day rafting and roped through waterfalls! We will remember this wonderful time. If you are looking for the best rafting captain, ask for Alonso S. He will teach you how to steer a boat in white water in no time. He is a wonderful person, energetic and kind! Thanks to him and the company for the holiday. I highly recommend.

Experienced Personell - AMAZING! You'll have the most experienced and safe guide. I was able to feel the adrenaline without ever feeling endangered. Many of the guides were born here and have been knowing the river for more than 15 years! you couldn't be in better hands

Adrenaline rush experience - It was really good and I will recommend everyone to do this trip the Rappelling was extreme and rafting was also extreme with rain it was really good

Great organization, guides and activities - Absolutely loved it! We were a rather small group and having enough guides reduced the waiting times to a minimum. Very friendly, helpful and experienced guides for canoying. Was a great experience including abseiling, ziplining and climbing. Rafting was awesome as well. Especially Emanuel, the guide was brilliant. The commandos have been explained very well on the way, in a very short time we were already in the water enjoying the currents. The trip finished with a delicious lunch at the end. Fantastic experience, would definitely recommend!

Phenomenal - Aurelio did an amazing job guiding us through the rapids. We had no swimmers!! We had fun and excited to have new pictures to share back home

Adventure Dream - My wife and I visited Costa Rica 15 years ago and did multiple activities with Desafio. We didn’t look anywhere else when we decided to take our kids back all these years later. We did the Mambo Combo. We have traveled a lot, and our kids have gotten to do some pretty fun things. But, we all 4 think the canyoneering is the funnest tour/activity we have ever done. We had an absolute blast!!! My two sons were smiling from ear to ear the entire time. Our guide was Ronny. Phenomenal. We did close to 10 tours in Costa Rica. He was the best guide we had the entire time. We got pretty lucky, as we were the only 4 people on the tour that morning. But he and all the other guides provided us with so much more than just a tour. It was an absolute adventure. My parents are in their mid 60’s, and we’re going to try to tell them into going and doing this tour next winter! Rafting the balsa river was also super fun. We’ve rafted many rivers, and the Balsa isn’t the most exhilarating. But it was constant rapids and super fun. Jorge was our guide, and he was awesome. He kept us entertained the whole time! We saw a sloth along the river too. We thought the value was incredible for the combo tour compared to many other activities we did while we were gone. People that haven’t visited Costa Rica just can’t imagine how great the people are. Desafio is the epitome of that. Great people!

100% YES - SO FUN! Such an exciting way to spend the day. Highly recommend and the guides did such a great job of making us all feel comfortable. Both the canyoning and the rafting were a great time. If you're on the fence, just do it 😄

Loved the mambo combo - Loved the Mambo Combo! It was my first time rappelling and white water rafting and this was the perfect intro. Canyoning was not as scary as a thought it would be, thanks to the capable guides. I also really liked hiking through the jungle after we finished the rappelling. Manuel was our white water rafting guide and he was super great. He taught us all the basics and made sure we also saw a lot of wildlife during our time on the river. Would highly recommend!

We went on the Mambo Combo. We did canyoneering and white water rafting. I was very satisfied with the tours, guides an - Manuel was awesome. He was our white water rafting guide. Very informative and patient. He explained things well and all in the boat had an amazing time. Highly recommend him and company. The rappelling portion was also extremely fun. We had several guides who took really good care of us. We came to Costa Rica as a family group. 6 siblings and spouses. So fun. Would do it again.
