We commence the tour offering a tantalising welcome beverage made from the region’s fresh fruits. Our guide will provide an outline of the farm’s key missions, namely the advocacy for sustainable natural resource management and safeguarding of Costa Rican heritage and customs.
Following this warm reception, we will engage in the old-world activity of hand-milking cows, an activity open and accessible to everyone, especially youngsters. Subsequently, we will take part in the process of squeezing out cane juice and savour the beverage blended with an array of additives ranging from spirits, mint, and other farm-derived products.
Our journey continues with a visit to a quaint archaeological hut housing various indigenous artefacts for use in the production of handmade cocoa.
As we draw the tour to a close, we feast on a farm-to-table meal featuring fresh products like cheese, tortillas, hash, among others. Without a doubt, this journey offers a treasure trove of culture, traditions, and a taste of Costa Rican lifestyle.
