Encircling this plaza are several significant edifices, such as the Metropolitan Cathedral of Santiago, the Central Post Office Building, the Palacio de la Real Audiencia de Santiago, and the edifice that functions as the administrative center for Santiago’s local government, which was previously the site of the city’s Cabildo before undergoing renovations.

Excellent Guide - The tour itself was as expected - a drive from San Antonio, where we ended a cruise, to our hotel in Santiago, where we were staying for 3 days before flying home. In Santiago, we got a overview tour of the city before being dropped off at our hotel. That tour helped us decide what to do with our remaining time in Santiago. Two things made this a very pleasant experience. First and foremost, Christian, our guide. He is friendly, very knowledgeable, very informative, very well travelled, a very interesting person and speaks English very well. It was a refreshing pleasure to be guided by him. The other pleasant surprise was that we were expecting a small group, but it turned out to be just 4 people - the driver, the guide, my wife and myself.

Thank you Guiaexperiencias for a wonderful day! - Gabriela went out of her way to make sure we had a perfect pick up from port, a fabulous tour through Valparaiso and Vina del Mar, and a seamless drop off in Santiago at the end of our cruise. Our guide Christian and driver Ruben were top notch. Christian was a perfect choice as guide since he knew the area so well. He showed us so much culture and beautiful street art in Valparaiso and included an interesting ride on one of the historic ascensores. He was very easygoing and had lots of patience with my husband's never-ending photo taking, lol. He was one of the best guides we've had and is a wealth of knowledge about Chile's recent past and current situation. Gabriela was prompt in helping us plan the tour through email or WhatsApp, in answering any questions we had, and shifting gears when our ship changed ports unexpectedly from San Antonio to Valparaiso. We felt her price was very fair for a private tour, and all in all, the experience truly could not have been better. Thank you, Gabriela, Christian and Ruben!
