Wonderful tour of San Antonio with Alfred - Alfred was my tour guide. He had such passion for his city. He was born here and shared his heritage and love for San Antonio. I knew nothing about the Alamo, and he shared the history with me as well. Highly recommend!

Wonderful! - We were picked up by our guide Alfred who took us to the Tower to the Americas, then to The Alamo where he gave us some more information. Then to Pearl, then to the Plaza where we saw a light display and then to the Riverwalk Cruise. Our tour was filled with the history of San Antonio. Thank you Alfred!

A perfect mix of scenery and history! - We were so lucky to have David as our guide! He was entertaining, had a great sense of humor, and was quite knowledgeable. This was our first time visiting San Antonio, we decided to do the tour, and if we saw something that we were interested in, we'd go back on our own the next day. David had such great stories about the places he took us to, and he even recommended places for us to see on our own. When he picked us up at our hotel, he was quick to let us know that it's haunted! I saw on the wall inside that it used to be the county jail, but I missed the part about it being haunted. The boat ride was scenic and fun, too. A bit hot this time of year, might have been better in the Fall, but we still enjoyed it.

Nice tour. Light show is awesome. - Alfred was a great guide. Very knowledgeable. Went to Tower of America, Pearl District, and San Fernando Cathedral light show. A River Walk boat ride was also included. The only thing I would of changed is to be able to see San Antonio's lights from the tower at actual night time.

Best Tour! - Alfred was such a great tour guide. He was knowledgeable about San Antonio’s history and even has some great stories. I have been to San Antonio many times but have never seen it this way and didn’t know some of the great sites here. The cruise was the best way to finish the tour. Myself and my family had such a great time. Alfred was awesome!

Historically rich tour - Alfred is a San Antonio institution and should write a memoir! What a spectacular tour with so much information and insight.

Small tour group - Really enjoyed our tour with Michael. He was very nice and informative. Picked us up at our hotel right on time. Took us to Tower of Americas which was really nice. Then did a relaxing boat tour on the riverwalk. Afterwards went to San Fernando church which had a 20 minute beautiful light show on the outside of the church. The next stop on the tour was the Pearl District which we opted out of because we’d been there earlier that day. Michael was so nice and didn’t have a problem bringing us back to our hotel.

Know What to Expect! - To say I would NEVER recommend this tour is a stretch, but I DEFINITELY recommend booking a weeknight, NOT a weekend night. We live an 8-9 hour drive away, so were looking forward to the Night Tour RiverWalk Cruise, but it's very important for you to know that the Tour Companies do NOT have a special entrance and, therefore, the tour guides have to get in line with the other (LOTS of) people. There are only two entrances on to the River and they were packed full; it would have taken 1-2 hours for us to even get on the River. The guide, Jason, was nice, but we didn't have a special entrance on to the elevators up the Tower of Americas either nor did he go up with us; we were left to wander around by ourselves. Then he drove us over to the Alamo. Good thing we went earlier that morning to actually go INSIDE of the building itself (because the Alamo closes around 5) and the tour guides are not allowed a certain point on the plaza. Jason did not wear a microphone, so it was kind of hard to hear him try to speak to 5 of us at once with the other noise going on around us. The "idea" of this Tour sounds great, but just be aware of what to expect. I will have to give Kudos to both Tripshepherd and Viator. After I called to complain about what we actually experienced, we received a refund; we would try either company again for that reason.

Questioning the value and coherence of this tour package - This tour did not meet our expectations based on the description provided. The tour was not as described, as it was not a guided tour with a minimum of 7 people. Our group was picked up from the hotel, but the guide did not have a clear itinerary. The booking details outlined a guided driving tour, a tower tour, and a small group evening river cruise. Our group chose this cruise for a more intimate and enjoyable evening experience. Some key points from our experience include: - There was no driving tour of San Antonio. - Even though our group decided not to participate in the Alamo tour, we were not offered a refund or provided the tickets. - The tour of Hemisphere Tower was enjoyable. - The river cruise experience fell short of our expectations. We were simply taken to the Riverwalk, given tickets, and joined a large group on a standard cruise without any private tour as advertised. Considering the tour cost $129 per person, we expected a higher level of service and exclusivity which was not delivered. We feel that the value for money on this tour was not justified.
