Mr Draghi is considered the father of the Creole silverware in the town because he recreated the old medieval way of handling silver, adding the gaucho elements onto it.
You can also shop if you want to: unique pieces made by them by hand - San Antonio de Areco - We will visit the main historical square of the town and the church of San Antonio de Areco built at the end of the 19 th century.
- Estancia El Ombu de Areco - This is a true working ranch: avoid the cheap tourists’ traps which have no cows, where the riding is in a pen (not real) and where you find yourself in a warehouse full of tourists who are given a tango show!
We will ride for about an hour and 15 minutes.
Start to unwind, visiting the town of San Antonio de Areco, the cradle of the Gauchos’ traditions.
We will visit a silversmith and the church of the town and then we will go to the ranch where they will be waiting for us with some delicious empanadas.
Drink something and get ready for your horseback riding which lasts about half an hour
If you don’t feel like riding, you can also carriage ride and if you feel like chilling out, you can relax by the swimming pool.
We will enjoy a typical and complete Argentine BBQ with salads, dessert and coffee . All inclusive.
Immerse in the gaucho culture, watching how they dance and play their instruments for us, so proud of their traditions .

This ranch is not a typical tourist destination. While there are visitors, the number varies daily, it is not designed specifically for tourists like many other ranches.
They do welcome tourists, but their primary focus is on working the land, cultivating soybeans, corn, wheat, and more, as well as training horses for others. They also breed a few Creole horses and maintain a substantial number of cows and some sheep—animals not typically found in tourist traps.
Here, visitors will encounter authentic gauchos, not performers dressed as gauchos for show. These gauchos are part of traditional, ancient, and historical gaucho families.
In contrast to touristy ranches, where visitors might find themselves in a large dining hall, separated from the natural beauty and animals outside, this ranch offers a more genuine experience.
Visitors will feel as though they are visiting family or friends.
This is a truly immersive cultural experience, providing insider knowledge and a chance to engage with local traditions.
Perfect for adventure enthusiasts and nature lovers.
- If you ride there is no time to use the pool but if you decide not to ride neither carriage ride, you will have about 40 minutes to use the pool at your leisure, sorrounded by birds, and maybe a cow or two. Very few people use the pool. I love it !
