Amazing and enchanting - The tour guide was excellent and the way she narrated the story behind the Sound of Music was very entertaining. We love the lake view overlooking the village! We love the singing in the bus! I highly recommend this activity!

My Favorite Things… - Our guide Batina (sp?) was fun. She got us all singing. Her rendition of Lonely Goat-herder is worth the trip.

Totally worthwhile - Our tour guide was absolutely magical! She made the entire trip. I booked this tour for my wife who is a life long sound of music fan, while I myself am not. I thought it was going to be a long miserable tour to suffer through, but it was the opposite. Such a fun experience. Thank you to our awesome aussie guide!

Fun-filled tour - This was one of the most interactive and fun tours I've ever done! I love our tour guide's energy, my fellow travelers energy, and I love the singing. It definitely brought the movie to life.

The Hills are Alive - watch the movie too! - Very fun tour. You see the various filming locations including going up in the hills where several scenes were shot. I highly recommend watching the movie again after the tour to pick out all the places you visited and see that they really aren’t as close as it seems in the movie. Be prepared for lots of singing. Next year is the 60th anniversary of the movie so I expect there will be extra celebrations and more people dressed up for the tour. Enjoyed the extra time in Moonsee where the wedding church is located. One downside, we went the afternoon after the time change so the sunset at 4:57 but the tour went to 6. It was dark when we arrived at the gardens, but that was a short walk from my hotel to go back in daylight.

Excellent & entertaining - April & Ferdinand were fantastic! High recommend it. April was so knowledgeable about the TSOM and history of Salzburg, really knew how to work the crowd. She kept it entertaining and was such a a delight to be in her presence.

Bucket list item for The Sound of Music Superfan - I was looking forward to this tour and it did not disappoint. The bus tour hit a lot of the big locations in the film and it was fun to learn about all the locations usedfor the Von Trapp house in the movie. My one little quibble would be that we did Mirabell Gardens at the end and pretty quickly. For the Superfan, I would have liked more info and have more locations within the garden pointed out. Luckily, I did a walking tour the next day that did just that.

The Sound of Music – and beauty - An absolute and utter joy. I did on Sunday of this week, about 13 months after my partner of 34 years died. I had decided that I would go somewhere new for a break after the anniversary, and chose Salzburg for Mozart and the Sound of Music. I held off booking for the best part of the week I was there, because the weather was really grim. But the weather apps persisted in telling me that we were going to get good weather on the Sunday and Monday, my last two days in the city. On the Saturday, with this forecast still holding, I booked from my hotel for the Sunday. The next morning, I was picked up by a car and taken to join the coach. Our driver was Ovo and our guide David. Both were brilliant. I remain gobsmacked by how much I learned from David – I have a whole new level of respect for film editors! The weather was glorious – the scenery of the Austrian lake district was beautiful almost beyond words. In advance, I hadn't been sure that I would feel completely comfortable with the sing-along aspect of the tour, but rapidly found out that I was engaging in it with gusto – and indeed, was burnishing my own LGBT+ credentials by knowing far more of the lyrics than most people on the coach! Mondsee is glorious (see pic). We had an hour there. I did the church – where the captain and Maria are married, in the film, so a biggie ... but then I ducked food and went down to the lake itself. How stunningly beautiful. A tour that was genuinely informative and joyful. I'd do it again. Happily.

A beautiful trip around Salzburg (not really about the "Sound of Music" - The experience was really beautiful. The places are wonderful because Salzburg is great. The guide was excellent. The only "minor" thing is that, actually, the most beautiful scenes of the "Sound of Music" movie are not really in this trip (well, except for the gazebo scene), but rather are free of charge in the Mirabel garden and the old town+cemetery. So, as a very nice walk around Salzburg and getting to know an excellent guide, I am not so sure we could not see the same with an attentive eye without paying as much.
