• Fuschl am See - On the 1.5-hour scenic journey to Hallstatt, relish the renowned Salzkammergut, passing through charming towns like Fuschl, St. Gilgen, Bad Ischl, and Bad Goisern.
• Hallstatt - Spend 2.5 hours in Hallstatt, where you can wander around, enjoy a coffee break, visit museums, take a short ferry ride, or simply admire the stunning views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Your stay in Hallstatt is 2 hours and 30 minutes.
• Hallstatt Skywalk - Depending on time and weather, take the funicular to the Skywalk, an observation deck 1,100 ft. above Hallstatt’s rooftops, and enjoy the breathtaking views. Allocate about an hour for this attraction, reducing your town visit to 1.5 hours. Visiting the Saltmines is not feasible timewise. The SKYWALK is CLOSED UNTIL SUMMER 2026.
• Gosau - On a different scenic 1.5-hour route back, experience more of the breathtaking Salzkammergut, passing by Gosau, Russbach, and Abtenau before arriving in Salzburg at 1:45 pm, just in time for your Original Sound of Music Tour.

• St Gilgen - After exploring the city, head to the lake district, passing Lake Fuschl towards Lake Wolfgang, where panoramic shots were filmed. During a brief photo stop above St Gilgen, enjoy the view of Lake Wolfgang and the breathtaking Alpine Mountain Range.
• Mondsee - The scenic route continues to Mondsee, where you can enjoy 1 hour at leisure. In this picturesque little town, you have the opportunity to visit the famous Basilica St. Michael, where Maria and Baron von Trapp’s wedding was filmed. There’s also time for a quick coffee break or to grab a snack while exploring the town on your own.
