Perched high above the rooftops of Mozart’s city, the evening commences with an exclusive GOLDEN VIP Dinner at the Panorama Restaurant within the renowned Fortress. Revel in the stunning cityscape and the picturesque surroundings, framed by majestic mountains.
Following dinner, indulge in a premier classical concert. Delight in some of Mozart’s most beloved compositions, such as “A Little Night Music,” alongside works by other esteemed composers, performed by internationally acclaimed musicians.
During the Advent and Christmas season, enjoy traditional Salzburg Advent and Christmas music.
Dine at individual tables in the Panorama Restaurant, with seating arranged based on the number of guests booked, except from December 23rd to 25th.
Weather permitting, the VIP Dinner will be served on the panoramic terrace.

Delightful Evening in Salzburg - The dinner was very tasty and we especially enjoyed the trout entree. It was a nice touch that an aperitif, wine and coffee were all included. Our waiter was very attentive, and a pleasant gentleman. The views of Salzburg were impressive.
The highlight of the evening was the concert. The ensemble played beautifully and there was great engagement with the audience. We enjoyed all of the pieces of music they chose to play. The standing ovation at the end was well deserved.
As others have posted, there are stairs to deal with in multiple places navigating the fortress so be aware if you have mobility challenges.

Recommendable result - It was a really nice evening at the Salzburg Fortress. Everything was well organized, from the driveway with the Fortress Railway, the very good dinner with very friendly service staff and finally a great concert with the Salzburg Mozart ensemble.

Incredible experience - Incredible. Just incredible. Go for the VIP experience. It is worth every penny. Don't eat lunch before this dinner, they feed you well. The concert afterwards is a memory of a lifetime.

A wonderful night to remember - I booked the Golden VIP Dinner & Mozart Concert at Fortress Hohensalzburg as a birthday treat, and can honestly say it exceeded all expectations. We had an absolutely marvelous evening. We walked through the Old Town and got the funicular at the appointed time (you do have to ask the person at the ticket counter for your free tickets to get through the gate - and remember to put them in a safe place as you'll need them at the end of the evening to get out!). Once up in the fortress everything is clearly signposted; and we were quickly seated. A very friendly waiter came and explained the evening to us and asked our choices of wine and main course. We began with prosecco and a roll with delicious cream cheese. The soup was the tastiest I've ever had, and my main (trout) was cooked to perfection; not to mention the dessert. Tea or coffee followed. We then made our way to the concert. A walk not really for the faint-hearted as there are several steps to climb. However once there you are rewarded with having seats allocated, and we were fortunate to be in the centre of the front row. The concert was brilliant. A quartet of strings with the second violin giving up their place for a pianist for part of the concert. They were exceptional; not only super music but good humour too. A free programme and drinks in the interval being just another bonus. Everyone was very friendly and obviously intent on making the evening enjoyable for everyone there. At the end of the evening we had the opportunity to see the views; night had fallen but the views with twinkling lights were no less spectacular. If you have the opportunity you really should go and see for yourself.

Magical experience - Had a fabulous evening with friends, food was delicious, soup, veal and souffle. Concert was magical . Venue is beautiful with stunning views of Salzburg by night .

Go for music, skip the dinner. - Music: Wonderful performance of great classical pieces. VIP dinner: not so much. Only one of a couple faces window, the photo is misleading. Cheap wine with metal screw cup. Name of the offered wine differs from that written in the menu. No option to add any additional courses or drinks to the menu for a fee.

Got ripped off - The hosting site Viator made a mistake with the date. It was a week before we were even in the country. I tried to get the date changed and get the credit for the new date. They refused any accommodation or discount. I lost $600 and they can care less. I booked with another location and had a good time. I noticed there was plenty of unused dishes at the end. Beware booking and don’t pay until you have to.
