Would definitely recommend this class! - What a fun experience! Our family of 5 (with kids aged 10, 12, and 14) really enjoyed the class. The instructions were simple and easy to follow and our strudel turned out well (although I would have preferred a smidge more sugar since I'm used to American style strudel). The beef goulash served for lunch was delicious and it was fun to mingle with other travelers while our strudels and nockerls baked.

Great date to learn how to make some traditional dishes - It was a ton of fun. The location was great, it’s in the side of a mountain basically. I did it with my wife and we were both able to work together to make the dishes. The hosts were very kind and helpful with advice/teaching. All equipment was provided, and drinks are available for sale.

Tasty and Fun! - The Edelweiss Cooking School is in an iconic location, carved into a mountain of beautiful Salzburg. It was easy to find, near the Ukranian Byzantine Catholic Church of St Mark and the modern statue of Mozart. My adult daughter and I reserved a spot with fellow tour group travelers and had a lovely time. The setting was intimate, and Leonardo our pastry chef and assistant Veronica were very helpful. While our 2 desserts were baking, we had a delicious goulash lunch topped off by eating our own scrumptious desserts! A great way to spend a rainy 2 hours in Salzburg!

Just say yes to this one! Great experience in Salzburg - So much fun! We learned that we can actually make delicious apfel strudel and Nockrel at home! Lunch was delicious and there was plenty of strudel left over to bring back to our hotel. Mmmm. Highly recommended. Don’t hesitate. If you like a cooking class and meeting some cool people, go for it!

Great fun - Great fun and led very well by the teacher. We made nockerl and strudel and both worked surprisingly well. There were 15 or so people there and we worked in groups of three or four around high tables. Ingredients are weighted out and prepared in advance so the process is very efficient. Washing up is whisked away and done for you. My husband, teenage daughter and I all enjoyed attempting nockerl and strudel. While the deserts were baking the tables were pushed together and we sat together as a class group to eat a goulash soup, which was very good. People in our class were chatty and we enjoyed being sociable and hearing about where they were from. You eat the strudel and nockerl you made yourself as the baking containers are colour coded with clips. You are offered boxes to take away any leftover desserts. Really recommend as a fun activity and we plan to have a go at making strudel at home too.
