The excursion will commence in the heart of Salta, heading south along RN 68, passing through four tobacco towns. The first stop will be Talapampa, a charming rural spot for a brief twenty-minute rest. The journey will then continue to Germany, a former railway village established by Germans, now home to five families. Here, the adventure truly begins with the Quebrada de las Conchas nature reserve. Visitors will explore 65-million-year-old sedimentary formations such as Devil’s Throat, Amphitheater, Toad, and Plaster, among others. The reserve is rich in archaeological and historical significance, boasting numerous fossil remains. After an in-depth exploration, the group will visit a vineyard to sample some of the region’s finest wines, including Torrontes. In the village of Cafayate, there will be a two-hour stop: one hour for lunch and another for sightseeing. Finally, everyone will reconvene to return to the city of Salta.
