Great Freediving course in Koh Lanta - I did a freediving PADI course in December 2025 at the Phoenix Joh Lanta Centre while my girlfriend went on a couple of scuba diving excursions. The centre is pretty good with much experienced stuff and lot of activities organised; provided the season is the right one. I have really enjoyed the course and the communication beforehand with the centre was smooth and transparent. My instructor was Marton Szocs and was literally fantastic. Marton is great both at free and scuba diving. He is very good at putting you at ease, and at reading people and quickly understand what works for you and what doesn’t, how and up to what point push you to your limits and beyond. I had already been practising freediving on my own for many years but Marton helped to better understand how my body and mind work deep underwater and thought me a few tricks to relax and focus that proved to be really helpful.

Amazing dives - Had 3 amazing dives on Koh Lanta with Phoenix divers. The staff on the boat were super and there was food and snacks on the boat. The dives were fantastic. We saw Blacktip sharks, stingrays and a lot of beautiful fish and corals. I dived with divemaster Lauren, who was super skilled and a lovely girl.

Open dive course - Amazing experience learning to dive didn’t think i could achieve this but Zia was so good and helped through the course! Saw so many beautiful fish and corals

Great trip - Discover Scuba Diving - We booked „Discover Scuba Diving“ with Phoenix Divers and had an amazing day. Our instructor, Davide, was absolutely great and very experienced and the sealife in Koh Haa is really beautiful. Thanks again for this fun trip!

Amazing PADI Open Water experience - We did a PADI Open Water course. Amazing experience, very professional and well organised + great dive sites. Special shoutout to Sally Vickers (our instructor), who was very patient, competent and friendly, as well as keen to share knowledge. We felt safe in her hands and within a few days we felt like fish in the water. Loved it, so would definitely recommend!!!

Freediver Instructor Course - The free diving instructor course was an important and inspiring stage in my development. The program was deep, logically structured and yet very practical. Daniel is an attentive, understanding and passionate instructor who has generously contributed his professional experience and knowledge, paying attention to every detail. Through his approach, the training took place in a supportive and motivating atmosphere, helping not only to strengthen skills but also to build confidence as a future instructor.

Free Diving course well worth it!! - Free diving with Phoenix divers exceeded my expectations in every way!! The shop was easy to communicate with via WhatsApp and email. Apart from sending info about the dive course they also helped me secure a scooter on the island and transport to the airport after my stay in Koh Lanta. From my pool training with Sally to the open water dive with Marton, Both instructors were competent, patient and encouraging. Free diving is intense and I appreciated the way they both adjusted their teaching in a way that made me feel confident and the experience was super fun!! Looking forward to my next free dive :)

Amazing I recommend - We dived with Francis for our second baptism of our lives and it was a real joy. The teams are amazing, we eat well, there is everything you need on the boat, the equipment is of very good quality, everyone helps to put on the vests, remove them, put on the fins we take care of nothing and we just enjoy the beauties of the seabed. Another big thank you to François for his kindness, his advice, and these 3 superb dives. I recommend
