- The Lake Phuket Elephant Nursery Ethical Sanctuary - 11.30 am. Start your day with a pickup from your accommodation in a luxury, air-conditioned van. From there, take a scenic drive through beautiful scenery to the sanctuary located in the jungle. Meet your guide and learn a little more about the elephants before gathering up some bananas and cane sugar.
1.30pm. Follow your guide through the forest and watch the elephants resting up in the hills, and discover the free-roaming elephants in a safe, sustainable and ethical environment. Your guide will tell you about each elephant’s individual stories.
Walk with the elephants down from the hill. You will learn about their lifestyle and behaviors.
3 pm.Watching the wildlife animals play in the mud and bathe in the ponds by themselves and you will learn from our experienced tour guide with our elephants.
Finally, enjoy a delicious set menu lunch and a dish from the Thai Cooking Class together with seasonal fresh fruits before heading back to your hotel.

Bucket list item - Recommend this tour. Got to feed and pet the elephants. There was an option to bathe them though we did not. The tour also included a great Thai lunch.

Amazing and humane experience - Amazing, humbling and humane experience. You start by learning about the elephants, and how to make them feel safe with you. Tour guide is very good. Then we make lunch in a cooking class, first for yourself and then prepare snacks for elephants. Elephants are majestic and very clever- each has a unique personality. The guides (each elephant has a personal caretaker) guide you on how to be safe and ensure the elephants feel comfortable. These elephants (all female) are rescues. For the most part, they feel comfortable with guests. It’s beautiful seeing the bond between the elephant and its individual caretaker- they listen usually but at times choose not too so it’s pretty cute (like the bond between a dog and its owner). It’s nice to see the elephants feel safe and confident here. The elephants are well taken care of. We feed them, walk around the property and then help bathe them. No riding or inhumane practice. Wonderful and humbling experience.

A Beautiful experience - An awesome experience with these gentle giants.
It was enlightening to hear about the Elephants. The guide Mr. You was very knowledgeable and friendly, he shared stories of the elephants and personal experiences, bathing the elephants was a humbling experience and such joy to interact with these animals. The lunch was great and the cooking class was fun.
I recommend this tour to everyone visiting Phuket, it is a must do as it helps the Elephants who have been rescued from horrible circumstances.
They now have a beautiful home with freedom and it is our duty to help with that if we can.

Got to learn about the Asian elephants, make papaya salad, feed, walk, and bathe elephants. One of my favorite things we did in phuket

The Tour guide and staff... - The Tour guide and staff were lovely. The santuary the elephants live in is an amazing environment. Everything was clean, tidy & organised. Food was great.

A must do!! Fabulous - Fantastic. Can’t recommend this experience highly enough. The day was well paced starting with the cooking class and lunch. I liked that we were a small group. A truly memorable experience to be up close to the elephants.

Indispensable for nature lovers - Sensational walk. We fed and bathed the elephants. Animals live loose and seem very comfortable with human presence. Our guide (Mr. Dang) was very sympathetic and shared his experience with us, and also taught us how to prepare a typical Thai salad that accompanied lunch buffet.

Very educational and enjoyable - This was a wonderful trip to learn about elephants in a natural environment where they are treated with care and respect. Mr Lu took great care in making sure that our small group enjoyed and understood. He spoke great Russian and English making us very comfortable.

Amazing and ethical! The... - Amazing and ethical! The tour guide was great at storytelling and super funny. I enjoyed the food they provided and we got to see the elephants in their natural environment with no chains or ropes. Perfect amount of time with lots of photo time. Very clean facilities. Highly recommend and I may come here again.
