Positioned approximately 150km southeast from Paris, our one-day journey takes you straight into the untouched heartland of Puisaye, part of the northern Burgundy region. Nestled between the western flowing Loire and eastern moving river Yonne, the Puisaye remains largely undisturbed, a locale where time appears to have paused. This predominantly rural region is a synergy of forests, lakes, and hedge-bordered fields, packed with an array of historical and cultural sites. This expedition aims to provide a learning experience, tracing the paths of bygone authors, ceramicists, and medieval artisans. The itinerary includes visits to local pottery, the Colette museum, and a local church to witness medieval murals. Market days include Wednesday in St Sauveur and Saturday in Toucy. Optional visits to a local natural wine producer are also available! We provide pick-up services from both local accommodations and the train station. Please reach out to discuss other potential options.
