Classes are interactive and can be as relaxed as desired. The host and instructor, Nicole, conducts her classes in a casual manner, sharing the history of the dishes and anecdotes about life in the West Indies. Nicole will explore the diverse applications of rum in the starter, main course, and dessert, followed by a delightful three-course lunch featuring all the recipes from the class.
Rum’s history dates back to the Caribbean in the 17th century. During this cooking class, participants will gain insights from a local about rum’s historical significance and its impact on Caribbean culture and cuisine, along with the opportunity to enjoy a tasting of six regional rums!

A variety of rums will be available for tasting and adding a unique touch to the dishes. Being in Antigua, our journey begins with the island’s prizewinning 5-year old English Harbor rum, proceeding after to three other exquisite brands from nations like Barbados, Guatemala, Cuba, Jamaica, and Martinique.
The cuisine served will exhibit to our attendees how different rums can enhance the taste of dishes, no matter if it’s a conventional dark rum or a refined white.
Participate in this course, not solely to discover novel tastes, but to relish the opportunity of cooking alongside new acquaintances in an authentic West Indian residence, boasting stunning Caribbean Sea vistas!
