- Juno Beach Centre - This museum is the sole Canadian museum in Normandy. It is divided into seven sections, detailing Canada’s pre-war state, its full commitment to the war effort, the various Canadian campaigns in Europe, and the overall human cost. The museum also features a rotating temporary exhibition.
Situated just behind the sand dunes of Juno Beach, the museum is surrounded by German bunkers, beach obstacles, Canadian and Allied military equipment, monuments, sculptures, an inukshuk, and informative signs.
- Beny-sur-Mer Canadian War Cemetery - Nestled between Beny and Reviers, inland from Juno Beach atop a small hill overlooking the coast, this cemetery is meticulously maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. It serves as the final resting place for 2,043 Canadians (along with one French and four British soldiers), including the 359 Canadians who perished on D-Day.
The entrance is adorned with four maple trees and the Stone of Remembrance. At the heart of the cemetery stands the Cross of Sacrifice, encircled by limestone headstones, all of which have been recently replaced.
- Bernieres-sur-Mer - On the eastern side of Juno Beach, two additional infantry regiments launched their attack: the Queen’s Own Rifles and the North Shore. At Bernières, where La Chaudière Regiment later arrived, stands the main monument near the iconic “Canadian House” seen in numerous D-Day photographs, which still proudly flies a Canadian flag.
The German resistance in this area, followed by a counter-attack from the south, slowed the advance inland towards Caen and prevented the troops from reaching the Carpiquet airfield.
