• Valley of the Kings - Begin a luxurious private day tour of the ancient city of Luxor from Safaga, Makadi, and Soma Bay, accompanied by a private tour guide. The tour starts at 09:30 AM with a visit to the Valley of the Kings, the first attraction in Luxor. This site is the final resting place of Egypt’s rulers from the 18th to the 20th dynasty, including the tombs of the great Pharaoh Ramses II and the young Pharaoh Tutankhamen. The tombs are well-stocked with goods for the afterlife, and the decorations inside are well-preserved. Visiting the Tomb of Tutankhamun costs an additional 360 Egyptian Pounds.
• Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari - Continue to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, which rises from the desert plain in a series of terraces. The temple blends seamlessly with the limestone cliffs of the Theban Mountain, creating an extraordinary monument that appears to be a natural formation.
• Alabaster - Visit the Alabaster Factory, where the alabaster industry, a unique Egyptian craft, has thrived since ancient times. This craft is a major source of income for artisans in the west of Luxor. Materials such as yellow limestone, black granite, basalt, marble, and national marmar are sourced from the mountainous region of Qurna village on Luxor’s west bank. Here, artisans live near temples and ancient symbols, creating Pharaonic antiques that captivate tourists worldwide.
• Colossi of Memnon - The Colossi of Memnon are two massive stone statues of King Amenhotep III, the only remnants of a once-complete mortuary temple. Made from quartzite sandstone blocks originally from Cairo, the statues were transported 700 KM to Luxor. Standing 18 meters tall, they are the remains of what was once the largest complex on the west bank, built by Amenhotep III. Around noon, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Luxor, followed by a visit to the Temple of Karnak, the largest ancient religious site in the world. After lunch, travel to the East Bank of Luxor.
• Temple of Karnak - Conclude the tour with a visit to the Temple of Karnak, the largest ancient religious site globally. No site in Egypt is more impressive than Karnak, the largest temple complex ever constructed. It represents the combined achievements of many generations of ancient builders and Pharaohs. The Temple of Karnak consists of three main temples spread over 247 acres. After the visit, return to the hotel in Safaga.
