The local guide will meet the group at the designated spot in Sapa town, provide an overview of the journey, and offer guidance on essential trekking skills, ensuring all necessary items are ready for the trip.
Y Linh Ho - 08:30 - 09:00: Begin trekking from Sapa town, heading Southeast along Muong Hoa valley.
The first stop is Y Linh Ho village, home to the Black H’mong community. Discover the lifestyle and culture of the H’mong people amidst the untouched natural beauty. The path to the village is typically a narrow trail, winding through terraced fields and majestic mountains. Although the route can be somewhat steep, it rewards with breathtaking views of mountains, forests, and simple wooden homes. At Y Linh Ho, vast terraced fields are especially stunning during the golden rice season (August), the flooding season (May), or when the fields are lush and green (June to July). This is a perfect spot for photography, observing daily life, and admiring the unique terraced rice fields.
Lao Chai - 10:30 - 11:00: Continue trekking to Lao Chai village
Proceed 3 km further to Lao Chai village, a large settlement of the Black H’mong people. Cross a small bridge to enter Muong Hoa valley and enjoy the serene landscape. The local guide will lead through rice terraces along less-traveled paths, offering a panoramic view of Muong Hoa valley. From above, terraced fields stretch along the hillsides, winding beside the Muong Hoa stream. Lao Chai offers numerous spots for sightseeing and photography.
Lao Chai - 12:00 - 12:30: Enjoy lunch with local cuisine at a restaurant in Lao Chai village near the river.
Savor local dishes, or opt for a picnic lunch on the hillside to soak in the rural atmosphere. The route offers delightful spots to relax and enjoy.
Ta Van Village - 13:30 - 14:00: Explore Ta Van village with expansive rice terraces and engage with the Giáy people, a prominent ethnic minority in Ta Van.
After lunch, continue trekking approximately 3 km to Ta Van village, home to the Giay ethnic group. Experience the daily life, culture, and traditional attire of the Giay people, distinct from the H’Mong people in Y Linh Ho and Lao Chai. This village is popular among tourists, as many families offer homestay services, allowing guests to immerse in local life. Ta Van boasts a unique landscape, with the Muong Hoa stream flowing through the village. The traditional stilt houses of the Giay people, interspersed with terraced rice fields, create a tranquil and picturesque rural scene.
Ta Van - 15:30: Arrive at a local homestay or house of minority ethnic people, staying overnight to enjoy the village night.
After a day of trekking, there is time to relax, engage in conversations, gain deeper insights into village life, and listen to the soothing sounds of nature. Recharge for the next day with renewed energy.
Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai village – Supan – Sapa
Ta Van - 08:30 - 9:00: After breakfast, follow the local trail to view Muong Hoa valley from the high mountain in Ta Van village. Trek to Giang Ta Chai village of the Red Dzao people.
From Ta Van, walk through rice fields and along small trails to Giang Ta Chai village, home to the Red Dzao people. Encounter locals in traditional red attire, adorned with intricate embroidery and silver jewelry.
10:30 - 11:00: Traverse the bamboo forest and waterfall
Continue the journey through the lush green bamboo forest, offering an immersive nature experience with a refreshing and pleasant ambiance amidst the towering bamboo groves.
Giang Ta Chai Village - 12:00: Enjoy lunch at a local home, sampling dishes by the Red Dao people, while taking in the stunning views of the surrounding mountains and terraced fields.
13:00: Ascend the hill in Giang Ta Chai village for more scenic views
Pass through rice fields, capture photos of the beautiful landscape, and relish the fresh air of the tropical forest.
Su Pan - 14:30: Conclude the trip at the main road near Su Pan village, where transportation will be provided back to accommodation in Sapa town.
This marks the end of a meaningful and enriching one-day trekking adventure.
