08:30 - 9:30: Arrival at Sa Seng village.
Sa Seng offers a perfect vantage point for panoramic views of Sa Pa town and Fansipan peak, the tallest mountain in Indochina. From here, visitors can admire the majestic mountain ranges, drifting clouds, and the serene atmosphere of the Northwest mountains. Sa Seng peak is also a stunning spot during the rice harvest season, when the hills are blanketed in the golden hue of terraced fields.
Hang Da Village - 10:00 - 11:30: Explore Hang Da village of the Black H’Mong people.
After soaking in the beautiful scenery, continue along the mountainside to Hang Da village, home to the Black H’Mong people. Visitors can delve into the indigenous culture and appreciate the village’s natural beauty. The village captivates with its wild, tranquil charm, traditional wooden houses, rice fields, and the presence of local people.
From the village’s summit, visitors can admire the stunning terraced rice fields in Muong Hoa valley and observe the largest river in Sapa flowing through the valley, creating a picturesque landscape.
12:00: Pause for lunch at a local restaurant.
The group will take a break and enjoy lunch at a small restaurant run by a local family, offering a typical culinary experience of the mountain ethnic people.
Hau Thao - 13:00 - 13:30: Discover ethnic life, walk to Hau Thao village.
After lunch, the group will proceed along the small road to Hau Thao village, where numerous rice fields and traditional houses of the Black H’Mong people can be found.
Surrounded by terraced fields, Hau Thao village offers a closer look at the daily life of the indigenous people. If in season, visitors may witness rice harvesting or planting. The tour guide will explain the wedding customs, rice planting techniques, and unique house construction of the H’Mong people.
Su Pan - 14:30 - 15:00: Head to Su Pan village and stay 1 night at a local homestay.
In Su Pan village, spend a night enjoying local food and culture. Experience the peaceful, tranquil atmosphere and breathe in the fresh air. This village, with few tourists, is surrounded by high mountains, green valleys, and terraced fields, creating a stunning natural scene. The Muong Hoa stream flows through this area, providing water for the fields and adding to the village’s wild beauty with its clear blue water.
Su Pan - Giang Ta Chai - Ta Van - Lao Chai - Sapa
Giang Ta Chai Village - 08:30 - 09:00: After breakfast at the homestay, the local guide will meet you to start the morning trek to Giang Ta Chai - the Red Dao village.
Giang Ta Chai village, though small, offers much to see. The Red Dao people live with unique customs, and their beautiful attire is captivating.
While exploring the village, you will pass through a bamboo forest and waterfall, where local children often swim and play, and some elderly women sell their handicrafts. Enjoy the village atmosphere and the delightful moments with nature.
Ta Van Village - 10:30: Walk to Ta Van village to see the expansive rice terraces and interact with the Giáy people - a prominent minority ethnic group in Ta Van.
Continue trekking to Ta Van village, home to the Giay ethnic group. Discover the daily life, culture, and traditional costumes of the Giay people, distinct from the H’Mong people in Y Linh Ho and Lao Chai. This village is quite popular with tourists, as families here offer homestay services, allowing guests to experience local life.
Ta Van boasts a unique landscape, with the Muong Hoa stream flowing through the village. The traditional stilt houses of the Giay people are interspersed with terraced rice fields, creating a serene and poetic countryside scene.
12:00 - 12:30: Enjoy lunch with local cuisine at a restaurant in Ta Van village.
Savor the local food, or opt for a picnic lunch on the hillside to soak in the countryside atmosphere. The route offers interesting spots to enjoy.
Lao Chai - 13:30 - 13:30 - Continue trekking to Lao Chai village.
Lao Chai village is a large settlement of the Black H’mong people. Cross a small bridge to enter Muong Hoa valley and enjoy the valley’s tranquil scenery.
To reach this village, the local guide will lead you through rice terraces along a less-traveled path, offering a splendid view of Muong Hoa valley.
From above, you will see terraced fields stretching along the hillsides and winding along the Muong Hoa stream. Lao Chai offers numerous spots for visitors to sightsee and take photos.
Sapa - 15:00: Conclude at the center of Lao Chai village, where a car will pick you up to return to your accommodation, marking the end of the trip.
Return to Sapa town, where you can enjoy a herbal bath after a long trek to unwind.
