Worthwhile - This half-day tour offered us a wealth of cultural and scenic experiences in just about two hours of walking. Our guide introduced us to local customs, crafts and history at each stop. Terraced fields, waterfalls and water wheels surrounded the serene mountain scenery. Despite being popular with tourists, our guide made sure we didn’t feel rushed. Puppet performances and village architecture added to the ethnic charm. It was well worth the trip.

A great trip - The guide led the small group with ease, sharing anecdotes about daily life and village cultural activities. The terrain included wooden platforms, steep stairs and bamboo bridges over streams. At the waterfall, we stopped to take photos and watch a very authentic and informative dance show. All return trips were in air-conditioned vehicles, making the journey easy.

Professional Guide - We appreciated the professional English-speaking guide who showed us local plants and described the Hmong heritage, weaving, and history at each stop. The hike included rocky paths and steep stone steps down—watch your step! Waterfalls and three small water mills added to the atmosphere. The hike felt well-paced, informative, and visually rewarding.

Excellent. - Our guide Lily (or Sung on some tours) was warm, friendly and clever in avoiding upsells. She assisted the local costume team and explained the daily life of the Hmong people. The walk through the flower gardens, streams and cottages was really interesting. Highlights included waterfalls, bridges and cultural performances. A compact tour but rich in culture.

Worth the trip - From pick up in Sapa to drop off, the guide was attentive and informative, managing a small group for more personalised advice. The downhill trek offered stunning views of the rice terraces and villages. History came alive at Cat Cat waterfall and the power plant. Despite some commercialisation, the views, bridges and dance performances made the trip worthwhile.

Excellent guide - Our guide made the half-day experience a real treat: explaining the Hmong weaving traditions, the legend of the waterfall and local rituals. The route took us past terraced fields and charming wooden houses. We enjoyed watching the waterwheels gently turning in the stream and crossing rustic rope bridges. The daylight perfectly framed the lush green mountains. A refreshing feeling after the busy days in Sapa town.

The guide was great - the guide was great, very welcoming and full of background information about the village, rivers and waterfalls. We walked over bamboo suspension bridges, flower gardens and experienced living with the locals selling handicrafts without feeling constrained. There was a short dance performance with music and traditional costumes. A short, beautiful walk with opportunities to learn about the culture and take photos

Highly recommended great trip - The guides spoke excellent English and were good communicators. Our trip moved at a comfortable pace, sharing stories about village life and local crafts. We passed a French-built hydroelectric plant and admired the majestic Tien Waterfall on stone steps. The path was steep at times but still easy to walk. The views of the valley, bridges and waterwheels were spectacular. Highly recommended great trip
