El Sol Vida is the best - I have already reviewed Green Grotto and Luminous Lagoon, the 2 tours we went on with El Sol Vida. Our driver Norman also took us shopping in 3 different types of local shopping, to Scotchies' for lunch and to the medical dispensary. We learned so much about Jamaica and it's history as well as present day things from him. We absolutely loved him as our guide, I do hope to return to Jamaica where I will book all excursions and transport through El Sol Vida requesting Norman as our guide. We felt safe, his driving was amazing and we learned so very much from him. Thank you El Sol Vida!

Amazing natural experience - The green grotto caves are certainly a place you do not want to miss. The 45 minute tour allows you to not only see spectacular things but also learn about Jamaican history. Our guide was amazing and very funny as well as knowledgeable and informative. I can not remember his name but it started with an O and he was an amazing 6 foot 4 tall. I would certainly recommend that if you are in the area., you do not miss this spectacular tour! My 18! year old son and I loved it!

A Good Exploration of Caves - We booked this tour last minute as we ended up having some extra time. The driver, Norman, who picked us up was great, talkative, and very informative. My husband asks lots of questions!! When we got to Green Grotto Caves we had to wait a few minutes for our tour to begin, but we didn't mind as it gave us time to look around. Brian, our guide, got us suited up with hair covers and hard hats for the tour. Our family of five was the only group going on his tour, so it was very private. Brian had a lot of information and answered our questions about the place. The climb down to the grotto is steep, so be prepared for a good climb back to the main trail through the caves. My teens thought the lights were out a bit too long for them when we were next to the Green Grotto, but my husband and I didn't mind. Brian pointed out to us that we missed a boa constrictor on the way down, but that he would point it out to us on the way back up. We'd never have found it without his help! There are bats all around, and we even saw a giant toad along the tour. Our 45 minutes passed very happily, and we learned quite a bit of history. Is it the most spectacular cave my family has ever seen? No. Is it a great history walk with wildlife around you? Yes. Are the caves worth your time? Yes. One note: While most caves are cool in temperature, this one is not. We booked at 10am tour, and we had plenty of time when we got back home to eat lunch and head out again to see another part of Jamaica.

Spoiled - As limestone caves go, this one has been picked over and spoiled by all the visitors over the years. It’s now just a cave with a rich history that has been touched and handled by man, to the point that almost all the stalactites and stalagmites have been ruined. Too bad, I would say it’s not worth the money or time to see it
