Exceptional Trip - What a fabulous trip! Collected as arranged & on time, mini bus was great & Denis our Tour Leader was exceptional. His knowledge & history of the area was great & he knew everything we needed to know, what we also loved was his information about living in Istria today, a fabulous chap, could have chatted to him for days. The time in each place was judged perfectly, nothing was rushed or too long, Groznjan was gorgeous & so pretty, with stunning views over the hills, Motovun was just slightly bigger but still unique. The truffle tasting was great & such a surprise about the different tastes, it was also not pushy. We stopped for a great lunch in Motovun. Rovinj was near where we were staying so we had visited before but we still learnt & noticed far more than we had on our own. An exceptional tour, with an exceptional company, don’t hesitate to book this trip.

Must do trip for a day away from the beach for some amazing scenery and history - Denis our tour guide was fantastic he is local so his knowledge was brilliant.
The tour was in a very comfortable and well maintained minibus.
The three towns were breathtaking with views that were amazing

A full day in a small... - A full day in a small group setting with a guide as well as having free time learning interesting history about Istria while visiting three small villages.

We had a wonderful day... - We had a wonderful day with Denis. Both towns we visited were interesting and beautiful but Denis really made the day with the information he provided, the stories he shared and his love of his country. I recommend this as a day trip from Rovinj.

Denis our tour guide was... - Denis our tour guide was very knowledgeable & we really enjoyed his explanations re the history of all places visited. He was very prompt throughout & made the day easy & enjoyable

Average to mediocre, sadly - Our tour guide did not have great English skills, so the information was disorganized. He was friendly and professional, but I was disappointed.

Disappointed in Istria Hill Town Tour. - I feel the tour was way overpriced - $137.87 USD.
Due to not meeting the minimum number of participants - my tour date needed to be changed from 5/27/25 - 5/28/25.
I needed to ask the tour operator for some simple clarification (via text) regarding pick up location and the time the tour ended (the end times were different from my original reservation 5:00 PM vs. 6:00 PM - revised date). The tour operator did not kindly respond or clarify my questions.
We visited 2 hill towns Motovun and Groznjan as well the cathedral & Grisia street in Rovinj. There was no food or drinks included - other than a very tiny square of white bread with a smear of truffle paste.
The guide lacked the ability to engage in a relaxed and open way with the participants. The information provided could probably be easily found in any guide book.
