It does exactly what it says - In Apukka they gave us warm clothing, after which we boarded a small bus. When booking we were told that the type of vehicle could change depending on the number of participants, so this did not come as a surprise to us. The guide took us to three places where there was a chance of spotting the aurora, in the third (a beautiful place for photos even without the aurora) he offered us a hot drink and some snacks. There was an aurora alert, so they quickly took us to a place where we finally managed to photograph the aurora, so we got what we wanted. Pros: The tour does exactly what it says on the tin, they take you in a vehicle to look for the aurora. The guide and driver were very helpful and accommodated the group's needs Cons: bus with seats very close to each other, not very spacious. Nobody helps you with the tripod and camera settings, I recommend preparing everything while you are in the vehicle because changing the settings is difficult in the dark

Worst Aurora Hunt you can book - Worst aurora tour you can book. We had the worst experience of our trip with Apukka Aurora Hunt by "car". First, it is not a car, but a 40 seat bus fully packed. Me and my family, couldn's even seat together. The tour was only a 1 hour drive each way to a location without any kind of structure. After 30 minutes at this "good" location everyone was back at the bus, wainting to leave. It seams that they hadn't planned ahead nor checked the weather and forecast Don't book with then. The better choice would be to have a private tour with experienced guides. We end up seen the aurora on a day with less probability, by ouself 2km away from the resort.

DO NOT BOOK. 1. after we were dropped off at the Apukka resort, nobody told us what to do next, we were left in the outside cold and frozen for half an hour; 2. upon booking, it was said warm clothes and boots will be provided, which is not the case; 3. the tour guide (yes I don't know her name because she never even introduced herself) spoke really bad English. What is worse is that when she tried to "tell fun stories about aurora", she was trying to read off some script from online sorces! are you kidding us????? and she was reading with her monotone (you can clearly tell she has not even read it thoroughly before) 4. the very requirement of a tour guide should be having a passion of the job. This Russian female as our guide has no passion whatsover. after she "tells" her "fun story" for 2 minutes, she gave up and shut up. for the next 2 hours, she never interacted with the group again (except serving a super diluted berry juice) 5. it is not a aurora hunt nor a car. we were mechanically taken to two places without checking the weather and forecast, without consideration of the time passage either. the car turned out to be a 20-seater bus.
