• Rovaniemi - Experience ice fishing in the peaceful nature of Lapland only 20 mins away from the city. Expect only to hear the voice of nature there. Your guide will introduce and instruct you on all the know-hows of ice fishing, including how to properly use the special tools and equipment such as the ice drill. After the instructions you may begin your ice fishing excavation to try your luck. While you enjoy your ice fishing, your guide will prepare an open fire to BBQ some Lappish sausages. We may also grill the fishes of those who have caught one.

Immerse yourself in the serene wilderness of Lapland, a mere 20-minute journey from the city, and partake in the quiet pursuit of ice fishing. The soothing sounds of nature are the only noise you’ll encounter here. Your guide will provide detailed insights and instructions on the ins and outs of ice fishing, including the correct tools such as the ice drill. Post instruction, you can embark on your ice fishing expedition to catch a fish. As you relax and partake in the fishing, your guide will set up a fire for a BBQ, where Lappish sausages will be cooked. If you’re successful in catching a fish, there’s the possibility it will end up on the BBQ as well.

• Duration includes the transfer and clothes changing time. Pick up service is included if the distance from pick up point to Sunny Safari Office is within 8km. Thermal overalls, winter boots, winter gloves and woolen socks are provided.
• Meeting time of our safari is always before the starting time of the safari if you need pick-up services. You will receive your meeting time and meeting point upon confirmation or by e-mail. Failure to participate in the safari due to missed meeting time or meeting point will not be refunded.
• Operated in Rovaniemi each year from November 16 to April 12 next year (weather permitting). The minimum number of participants for each safari is 2 full paying adults’ price.
• Please let us know in advance when you book the safari if you have special dietary requirements. (Eg: vegetarian, gluten-free, etc.)
